Jason narrowed his eyes. "Corinne, just what is your relationship with Newmoon Group?"
"Xante and Aaron are my childhood friends," said Corinne honestly.
"I see." Jason got the gist of the whole thing, so he did not ask any further questions about it. "This is certainly tricky. One hundred and fifty million dollars isn't a small sum at all."
That was why Corinne was so frustrated. If it was only a few thousand or even one hundred thousand dollars, she could have just let the whole thing be.
"Corinne, have you ever heard of an ancient art of face disguise, Metamorph?" asked Jason with a smile and a raised eyebrow.
'Metamorph?' Corinne frowned. "What? Like in the magic world?"
Jason shook his head. "Not exactly. I heard there's a mask that will change your face completely once you wear it."
Corinne frowned. "Even if there's such a mask, how are you going to get it?"
Jason smiled. "I can try to get it. Then you can wear the mask to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony without having to worry about being exposed."
Corinne was not convinced. "But what about my baby bump? It's not like I can suck it in."
The next morning, Jason called her to let her know he had gotten the mask and that someone would be bringing it over to her later that night.
Corinne had given herself pep talks throughout the day, so she felt more confident. She texted Xante in Morse Code to tell her that she would be attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony as Moon in two days.
…
Xante, who was still in her office, was shocked and worried when she read the text message Corinne sent her.
'The boss is going to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony? Isn't she scared that Mister Jeremy will find out? Wouldn't all of her effort in hiding for the past six months be in vain?'

The readers' comments on the novel: The Day I Kissed An Older Man
This book is a good book, but it’s too short. I hope it has a part two👍🏾...
This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
Great writing! I almost cried when Helen hit Melody! So sad! 😭 can’t wait to see how the relationship with her and Lucas develops though. So tired of the repetitive problems with different people....
Yikes my body tenses so much, my moods change as the scenes change. It leaves me wanting to continue reading....
my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
We have updated progress from 7 chapters/day to 10 chapters/day.<3...
i love grandma Beatrice, there needs to me more people like her in the world straight forward and to the point, no beating around the bush and worrying about offending anyone, why pretend to be someone your not....
looking forward to more chapters, The same thing is happening to Melody as what happened to Luna, if Luna was back maybe she would set Lucas straight, can't wait to see how Lucas handles the situations that will arrive. Poor Melody....
ya Lucas pay more attention to Melody lets see what happens waiting for more chapters thanks...
