Corinne was worried sick. "Are you going to tell me what you're doing or not?"
Sunny snatched away the phone before Xante could say anything. "She's not free to talk right now. You can talk to me to discuss anything with her or call her back two hours later."
Corinne was speechless. 'Ugh. It's that brat, Sunny! Just what the heck are they doing?'
"Sunny, stop! Can't you wait until I've finished talking on the phone?! Ah! Get lost!" whined Xante coquettishly in the background.
Corinne started blushing and quickly hung up the phone.
'Sh*t!' Corinne could feel a headache coming, so she massaged her temples. Then, she laid in her bed and covered her head with the blanket.
…
Meanwhile, Sunny had Xante pinned to the bed. Her gentle, beautiful face was red as a tomato. She was shy not about what they were doing, but because she was embarrassed that Corinne found out.
'That was so embarrassing!' she thought.
She did not expect Corinne to call. After all, why would she when Corinne had not called her for more than six months? Thus, she picked up the phone thinking it was work, which she could easily handle without getting flustered. However, the moment Xante heard Corinne's voice, she started to panic.
'She must've guessed what I'm doing with Sunny. God, I could just crawl into a hole and die.'
The more she relived the experience, the more p*ssed she got at Sunny. She looped his hand around his neck and dug her fingers hard onto his back, causing ten bloody red scratch marks to appear.
Corinne picked up instantly, but she did not say anything.
"So, um… Sorry about just now, Boss. I was occupied with something," she said awkwardly.
Corinne chuckled coldly. "And you're free now?"
"Yeah," replied Xante with a dry laugh.
"So what's your plan with that kid? You do know that he just turned eighteen, right? He doesn't even know how the world works yet."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Day I Kissed An Older Man
This book is a good book, but it’s too short. I hope it has a part two👍🏾...
This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
Great writing! I almost cried when Helen hit Melody! So sad! 😭 can’t wait to see how the relationship with her and Lucas develops though. So tired of the repetitive problems with different people....
Yikes my body tenses so much, my moods change as the scenes change. It leaves me wanting to continue reading....
my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
We have updated progress from 7 chapters/day to 10 chapters/day.<3...
i love grandma Beatrice, there needs to me more people like her in the world straight forward and to the point, no beating around the bush and worrying about offending anyone, why pretend to be someone your not....
looking forward to more chapters, The same thing is happening to Melody as what happened to Luna, if Luna was back maybe she would set Lucas straight, can't wait to see how Lucas handles the situations that will arrive. Poor Melody....
ya Lucas pay more attention to Melody lets see what happens waiting for more chapters thanks...
