"So, do you want to go? You've never accepted any magazine interviews before!"
Melody looked at Lucas, slightly suspicious. 'If he didn't like it before, then he definitely wouldn't like it now. The only reason he's bringing this up is because he's throwing a tantrum.'
"A magazine wants us for a couple's cover shoot? Great, let's go. What I don't like is those paparazzi secretly taking photos of me. That and the magazine cover shoot are totally different. Don't tell me you're going to argue otherwise."
Lucas pinched Melody's cheek and kissed her lips, making her pout.
"What am I arguing about?"
"You know exactly what."
"Fine, if you want to go, I'll have Paige handle it. She's going to screen-pick which magazine we'll do so that it won't tarnish your status as the company president. Come pick me up tonight, alright?"
Lucas half-turned his body proudly. "Do I have to pick you up just because you've asked me to? You think I don't have a job? Maybe I'll have to work overtime tonight. I'm certainly not as free as you think I am!"
"Yeah, yeah, I know a company president like you is very busy, so that's why I'm booking you in advance. Can you please, please make time to pick me up tonight? I don't want Paige to drive me back. It's not safe for her to drive alone at night."
Lucas frowned unconsciously. "So in the end, you're asking me to pick you up because you're worried about Paige's safety, right?"
Even though a lot had happened in between, the fact that they could be together in the end was enough to make Melody feel thankful.
Every morning when she woke up, she could not help but marvel at her life. She could not believe she could have such a good life; heaven had truly been kind to her.
"Lucas, I love you so much," Melody could not help but exclaim.
Lucas replied with a kiss on her forehead. "I love you too. Now, go. Don't keep others waiting. I'll come pick you up tonight."

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
