Hearing the name, everyone immediately dropped their jaw. Everyone knew Sancho and the Aqsa Company in Dubai.

Even though they were American, they were one of the biggest companies in Dubai. They were very popular, influential, and highly honored.

“Wow. That lady is very lucky. Sancho?”

“I’m so sure she is going to accept. No one is denying this sudden luck.”

Julia herself was shocked to hear this. She knew Sancho as well, but she wasn’t impressed by his identity – quite the opposite. She was very annoyed and believed Sancho was rude. She didn’t even know him personally. They hadn’t spoken for even a day, and yet he had done all this.

“Look, I appreciate all this, but I’m not interested!” Julia told him straight.

Sancho’s smile vanished. He was stunned. He had never been rejected before. He didn’t go to this length for other women, and they would accept almost immediately. But after a $12 million proposal, Julia had

rejected him.

Sancho scoffed and said, “You might not know me. I am Sancho. I-”

But Julia cut him off sharply. “I know very well who you are. I am just not interested. Can you please move your car and let us pass?”

Sancho gulped, clearly taken aback by her firmness. He recovered quickly, leaning forward with a confident smirk. “Look, maybe this is little for you. I can give you more. Tell me what you want, and I shall bring it in front of you.”

Julia sighed deeply, her patience wearing thin. “I don’t care who you are and what you are giving. I am not accepting your proposal. I didn’t even know you personally, and we never talked, yet you did all this. You didn’t even respect me.”

Sancho scoffed again, louder this time, his voice dripping with disbelief. “Why did you even need the meeting when I am giving you twelve million dollars on our first day? That should be enough and cover all this long talking stage.”

Julia already knew the type of person Sancho was-arrogant, entitled, and convinced he could buy anything or anyone with money. His world revolved around power, influence, and the Aqsa Company’s vast empire. To him, rejection simply didn’t compute.

“Well, I am not hooked by all that you bring here today,” Julia replied calmly but firmly. “And also, I am engaged.” She raised her hand, showing the elegant ring on her finger, its modest diamond catching the light. “And this is my fiancé.” She gestured toward Marcus beside her. “So, with respect, just leave the way.”

Sancho’s eyes narrowed. He glanced at Marcus, looking him up and down with blatant disdain. A mocking laugh escaped his lips. “This thing is your husband?” he sneered.

“I heard he is an orphan with no background, and he is a thief also. Don’t be deceived by that ring he gave you-he probably stole it. He has nothing compared to me. Just ditch him and come to me.”

The words hung heavy in the air. Julia’s frown deepened, her cheeks flushing with anger. She believed Sancho’s disrespect had reached another level entirely. Insulting her directly was one thing, but attacking Marcus so viciously in public crossed every line.

Meanwhile, Marcus just silently watched him. His expression remained composed.

The crowd that had gathered earlier started whispering excitedly among themselves. “What happened there?”

one woman murmured. “Is the lady not accepting him?”

Another voice chimed in, “After twelve million? She must be crazy”.

“You even did a background check on us?” Julia shot back, her voice rising with indignation. “You know we are engaged and still come here to disrespect us like this?”

Sancho raised his hands in a placating gesture. “I meant no disrespect, beauty. You are so gorgeous and pretty, and you deserve more than this… thing.” He glanced dismissively at Marcus. “Okay, you know what? Just accept this gift and say yes. We will talk after that.”

“I am not accepting it,” Julia replied firmly. “Don’t waste your time.”

Instantly, the whispering among the crowd grew louder. “What an embarrassment this would be if she rejected him,”

someone muttered. “He brought all those reporters to capture this huge moment and use it for publicity, but now they’re recording something else entirely.”

Sancho’s face tightened as he realized the cameras were rolling on him.

“Julia, I have been crushing on you for the past two years now,” he confessed, his tone shifting to something almost pleading. “So please, don’t let me down like this. There are cameras everywhere.”

Julia shook her head. “The one letting yourself down is you. You should have come to talk to me directly instead of all this paparazzi nonsense.”
