The Disguised Billionaire She Rejected novel Chapter 158

Chapter 158

Julia’s eyes gradually became glossy. She covered her mouth with both hands.

“Oh… my goodness…”

Tears threatened to spill from her eyes.

“I… I don’t even know what to say. Thank you… I’m truly grateful. This is already more than I could ever ask for.”

Her shoulders trembled slightly as she let out a nervous laugh.

The younger man smiled knowingly.

“We’re glad to hear that.”

He reached into the leather briefcase he had been carrying and carefully removed a thick black folder embossed with an elegant golden seal.

“However,” he said, placing it in Julia’s hands, “the Senate President has one more expression of gratitude.”

Julia looked down at the luxurious folder in confusion.

“What’s this?”

“A list of appreciation gifts,” the older man explained. “The Senate President instructed us to tell you that you may choose anything inside. Whatever you select will be presented to you as his personal token of gratitude.”

Julia blinked.

“…Anything?”

“Yes.”

She slowly opened the folder.

The first page nearly stopped her breathing.

Cash Gift Four Million US Dollars.

She hurriedly flipped to the next page.

A breathtaking luxury yacht filled the page, complete with multiple decks, elegant lounges, and lavish

interiors.

She turned another page and froze.

Several magnificent mansions were displayed before her.

One overlooked the ocean through towering glass walls. Another was a sprawling estate with marble fountains, palm-lined driveways, an indoor cinema, a private gym, and an infinity pool. The last resembled a royal palace, featuring crystal chandeliers, towering columns, grand halls, private elevators, and countless luxurious rooms.

Julia’s mind went completely blank.

She stared at the folder, then at the two men, before looking back at the pages again.

Everything suddenly felt unreal.

Slowly, the excitement on her face gave way to suspicion.

“Wait… is this some kind of scam?”

The question clearly caught both representatives by surprise.

“A scam?” the older man repeated.

Julia nodded firmly.

“I need to be sure. You’re not going to ask me to pay a processing f*e, registration f*e, delivery f*e, or anything like that, right? Because I’m not paying a single dime.”

The two men exchanged bewildered glances before the older one smiled.

“Ms. Julia, we’re not asking you for any payment.”

“This is simply the Senate President’s gift,” the younger man added. “You only need to tell us what you want, and we will deliver it.”

Julia still looked doubtful.

“…Really?”

“Yes. The Senate President will also contact you personally before the arrangements are finalized. Everything will be completed before next week.”

Julia lowered her eyes to the folder once more.

Her gaze settled on the mansions.

A permanent home… That was exactly what she needed.

Having a home of their own would solve so many problems. Since it was a gift, she wouldn’t be burdening anyone by accepting it.

After a brief silence, she pointed at one of the mansions.

“I’ll choose this.”

The younger representative nodded, took out a pen, and marked her selection.

“Very well. Once the Senate President speaks with you personally, we’ll proceed immediately.”

Julia smiled and nodded.

“I’ll be expecting his call.”

After exchanging a few polite farewells, the two representatives left.

Julia watched them disappear down the hallway before closing the door.

She stood there for a few moments, still unable to believe everything that had just happened.

Then, clutching the folder tightly against her chest, she hurried back into the apartment.

Marcus was already awake.

The moment she saw him, she couldn’t contain her excitement any longer.

“Marcus!” she exclaimed with a bright smile. “You won’t believe what just happened!”.

Marcus frowned as he looked at her flushed face.

“What happened?”

Julia hurried over to him and told him about everything. right from the very beginning. About the gift as

well.

“Wow.” Marcus smiled faintly. “It really is awesome.”

Julia’s smile gradually faded.”…If it’s real.”

Marcus looked at her.

She sighed and leaned back.

“I don’t know, Marcus. A part of me still feels like this is some kind of scam.”

She bit her lower lip. “No one can be this generous.”

Her expression became uneasy. “What if this is Victoria’s doing?”

Marcus frowned. “Victoria?”

Julia nodded.

“What if she arranged all of this just to humiliate me later? You know how much she enjoys making fun of me.”

Marcus simply smiled.

Deep inside, he already knew the truth.

After everything that had happened the previous day, he had contacted Natalie and asked her to find a
