Chapter 170
Julia looked calmly at Victoria without the slightest hint of anger on her face. Instead, she let out a quiet sigh before speaking in a composed voice. “I’m not here for anything. I only came to pay my respects to Grandma and wish her a happy birthday. As for me, I’m doing perfectly fine on my own. Whatever happens in this family from now on is truly none of my business.”
Mr. Alfred, who had remained silent all this time, finally raised his head. His expression was stern as he looked directly at Julia. “We won’t accept your gift, so pack it up and leave. Unless you’re willing to stop seeing that riffraff you’re so determined to stay with, there’s nothing you can do to earn your way back into this family. As long as you’re with that useless man, don’t expect us to acknowledge you.”
Julia quietly lowered her eyes. She didn’t argue or defend herself. Instead, she gently picked up the gift box from the table, holding it carefully in both hands.
Just then, Steve stepped forward with a smug smile spread across his face. “I know why you’re acting so full of yourself,” he mocked. “You think that because the Senate President, Mr. Emery, acknowledged you, you’ve suddenly become somebody important. But let me tell you something.”
He proudly gestured toward Victoria and Eden before continuing, “We now have the Minister of Finance on our side. He’s already met Eden and Victoria personally, and very soon they’ll be making public appearances together. Once that happens, it would overshadow yours.”
Victoria couldn’t hide the satisfaction on her face. She folded her arms confidently before looking at Julia with a victorious smile. “So stop pretending you’ve won anything. You’re only spoiling the atmosphere by standing here. Just leave.”
Julia felt a sting in her heart, but she refused to let anyone see it. She sniffled quietly, hugged the gift box to her chest, then turned around and walked toward the exit without saying another word.
The moment she stepped outside the mansion, hurried footsteps came from behind her. Mrs. Leah rushed out and caught up with her, gently grabbing her arm before she could walk any farther. “Julia… Julia, wait.”
Julia stopped and slowly turned around. “Mom…”
Mrs. Leah looked at her with worry written all over her face. “Julia, can’t you just…” she began softly, but
before she could finish, Julia gently shook her head and smiled bitterly.
“I already know what you want to say,” Julia replied. “But no. I’m not leaving him. And honestly, after everything that’s happened today, I don’t think I want anything to do with this family anymore. I’ll build my own life, and I’ll prove that I don’t need anyone’s approval to be happy.”
Mrs. Leah sighed deeply, her heart aching for her daughter. “And you really think you can build that life with that loser? Look at Victoria. She’s getting better every single day. Her future is becoming brighter and brighter while you’re throwing yours away.”
Julia simply smiled and shrugged lightly. “I don’t care. As long as I’m living the life I choose, that’s enough for me.”

She suddenly remembered something and looked at her mother with a brighter smile. “By the way. Mom… when are you coming to visit my new house? The Senate President gave it to me
Mrs Leah’s eyes widened in surprise. “Really? He gave you a house? Where is it?”
Julia nodded happily. “Yes. It’s not just a house either. It’s a mansion.”
Mrs. Leah gasped in excitement, her earlier sadness disappearing almost instantly. “A mansion? Really? Where is it?”
Julia smiled warmly before answering, “It’s in Hera Estate.”
The moment those words left her mouth, Mrs. Leah froze in complete disbelief, her eyes widening as she stared at Julia, unable to believe what she had just heard.

Meanwhile, Ryan had already contacted both Natalie and Marcus, informing them about everything he and Mr. Whitfield had discovered from the CCTV footage. After ending the call, silence filled the room for several seconds as both Marcus and Natalie tried to process everything.
Natalie was the first to speak. She folded her arms and frowned. “So… according to what Ryan found, Eden had a twin brother, and that twin killed him before kidnapping his wife. If that’s really true, then this current Eden is fake.”
Marcus leaned back in his chair, his expression remaining thoughtful. “We can’t jump to conclusions just yet,” he replied calmly. “The footage certainly raises a lot of questions, but it still isn’t enough to prove everything beyond doubt., and there are still too many missing pieces. Before we accuse anyone, we need solid evidence.”
Natalie slowly nodded in agreement. “We’ll have to dig into Eden’s childhood, his family records, old friends, relatives, classmates… anyone who knew him before he became successful. Someone out there has to know whether he had a brother.”
Natalie’s serious expression gradually softened as she looked him over from head to toe. A smile slowly appeared on her face. “Putting all that aside… I still can’t believe you’ve recovered this quickly
Marcus looked down at himself before smiling faintly.
“You were covered in wounds after fighting Six. I honestly thought you’d be bedridden for weeks, yet here you are walking around like nothing happened.”
Marcus chuckled quietly before clenching his fist.
“I healed much faster than I expected. Ever since that breakthrough, my body has been changing My recovery speed is completely different now.” His eyes gleamed with determination as he continued, “But this isn’t enough. If enemies stronger than Six appear, I still won’t stand a chance I have to keep getting
stronger. I have to reach the next level as soon as possible.”
Natalie smiled confidently. “You will. At the rate you’re growing, I wouldn’t be surprised if you surpass all
of them one day.”

Meanwhile, inside the Travis family villa, Jessica sat alone in her bedroom.
The distance between her and Travis had only continued to grow over the past several days. They barely spoke anymore, and even when they did, their conversations quickly ended in silence.
Jessica wasn’t thinking about Travis anymore.
Her mind was occupied by only one person.
