Jessica did not bother to stop Travis this time. The shock she felt earlier had curdled into jealousy.

Seeing Marcus walk in with a woman who was clearly richer and better than her, made her envy. She thought this was the reason he had refused to come back to her. She would do anything to ruin whatever

was between them.

She lifted her chin and agreed with Travis loudly. “He’s right. Marcus has no ambition. He never had any. All he knows how to do is spend women’s money and act like he deserves it. He’s been like that since I

knew him.”

Travis nodded eagerly, enjoying the attention. “Exactly! This guy is nothing. . He washed dishes and did the house chores. He has no pride. No future. Just a smooth mouth and a shameless heart. We feed him all these years only for him to try and dump Jessica”

Jessica continued, her voice sharp now, her words spilling without restraint. “He doesn’t work hard. He doesn’t build anything. He just attaches himself to whoever can feed him. That’s his talent. Living comfortably off someone else’s sweat. He doesn’t worth your time”

Travis added with a sneer, “Professional leech. That’s what he is. If you check his history well, you will see a trail of women he has drained dry. Don’t be in his collection”

The crowd murmured louder. People watched with open curiosity.

Natalie glanced at them calmly, as if she were listening to children argue over a toy. Then she spoke lightly, almost playfully. “I’m perfectly willing to spend money on Marcus. Is there a problem with that?”

Jessica blinked in shock. She had expected anger. Outrage from her. Not this.

“But… he is poor,” she said quickly. “He isn’t up to your status. He definitely wants to scam you.”

Natalie tilted her head slightly. “He is handsome. And manly. I don’t mind getting scammed by a face like that. If he wanted to scam me, he should go on” then she hugged him tighter.

A few people in the crowd chuckled.

Travis looked stunned. Jessica stared at her as if she had lost her mind.

Natalie’s gaze shifted to Jessica. “You called him your boyfriend, yet you are holding another man’s arm in public. Did you ever treat Marcus as your boyfriend at all?”

Those words landed heavily.

Jessica’s face turned pale, then flushed red. She had not expected Natalie to defend Marcus so firmly. This made her even more mistaken that they were in a relationship.

Marcus let out a low mocking laugh and played along. “No girlfriend publicly humiliates her own boyfriend like this. You called me all that in front of everyone and you still expect me to come back to you?”

He shook his head slowly. “If you were the only woman left on earth, I would rather die single.”

The crowd burst into open laughter.

“He’s right.”

“Look how she insults him and still claims he’s her boyfriend.”

“This is embarrassing.”

“I wouldn’t want a lady like her!”.

Jessica’s lips parted but no words came out. She felt heat rise to her face as the laughter echoed around her. She had never imagined being ridiculed like this, especially not by Marcus.

Yet she did not dare offend Natalie, whose identity she still did not fully understand. She stood there boiling with humiliation. So she kept Shut.

Travis, however, won’t shut up.

He pointed at Natalie angrily. “You think you are smart? You are just another woman he’s going to use. You look classy but no brain. Stupid whore!”

Natalie’s voice turned cold. “Shut up.”

But Travis did not.

“What are you going to do?” he shouted. “The one who should shut up is you, I can use my influence to have you thrown out of here. You don’t know who you are talking to.”

Just then, someone in the crowd suddenly exclaimed loudly, “Wait… isn’t that Ms. Natalie? The first daughter of Mr. Edward? Tonight’s host?”.

The murmuring grew louder.

“Wait, I think that’s her.”

Several guests quickly pulled out their phones to g****e search. A few seconds passed.

“Oh my God. It’s her!”

“That’s really her!”

“Wow…. She is more beautiful physically!”.

The whispers turned into shocked gasps.

Around them, the guests began to murmur in disbelief.

Some shook their heads for Travis and Jessica who stood there like a wet bird after hearing the

murmurs.
