Chapter 212.
Marcus stared at the screen in disbelief.
The headline had barely appeared, yet it was already everywhere.
“How did this spread so quickly?”
His expression hardened.
Something was wrong.
This was not simply a private scandal that had somehow leaked. Whoever had released the pictures had clearly been waiting for the right moment, and they had moved almost instantly. someone set this up.
Marcus lowered the phone and looked at Julia.
She was devastated.
She sat on the sofa with both hands pressed against her head, shaking it repeatedly.
“No… no.”
Her voice trembled.
“I didn’t do it. I didn’t have an affair with the Senate President. I swear I didn’t.”
Marcus immediately sat beside her and held her hand.
“I know.”
Julia looked at him, tears filling her eyes.
“I didn’t do anything with him, Marcus. I don’t even understand how those pictures-
“I believe you.”
Marcus’s voice remained calm.
“Someone framed you. Someone is behind this.”
Julia stared at him.
“But who would do something like this? And why would they use the Senate President of all people?”
Marcus shook his head.
“I don’t know yet. But we will find out.”
He looked at the phone again.
“The timing is too perfect. You were drugged, taken to a hotel, and now these pictures suddenly appear everywhere. Someone planned this.”
Julia’s breathing remained uneven.
Marcus gently squeezed her hand.
“The pictures are the first thing I will investigate. I will have someone examine them and determine whether they are authentic or manipulated.”

Julia slowly nodded.
Okay.”
“You just have to stay calm.”
She wiped the tears from her face.
Before Marcus could say anything else, a strange commotion suddenly came from outside.
Shouting. Then more shouting.
People were screaming near the entrance.
Julia immediately looked toward the door.
“What is that?”
Marcus frowned. He quickly walked toward the security monitor.
The moment he switched to the camera feed, his expression changed. A crowd of reporters had gathered outside the property.
There were dozens of them.
Some were holding cameras over their heads. Others were speaking rapidly into microphones while several people pushed against the security barriers.
“Is Ms. Julia inside?”
“Julia! Did you have an affair with the Senate President?”
“Why did the Senate President give you expensive gifts?”
“Julia, come out and explain yourself!”
The shouting continued.
Julia stood behind Marcus, staring at the monitor.
Her face became pale. she knew if this continue, her career would go downhill.
Marcus looked at the screen while.
Julia’s hands began trembling again.
“Why is everything happening so fast?”
Outside, the reporters continued shouting.
Some were broadcasting live from their phones while others were demanding answers from the security personnel.
Julia’s phone suddenly rang.
She looked down at the screen. Her body immediately stiffened.
Cory.
Marcus noticed her expression. He knew he would eventually have to leave to deal with the reporters and

lia needed someone she trusted beside her.
“Answer it. and tell him to come here”
Julia looked at him nervously, she hesitated but eventually had to answer. “Hello?”
Cory’s voice came through immediately.
“Julia? Where are you? What the hell is happening?”
Julia swallowed. “Cory… can you come here?”
There was a brief silence.
Then Cory answered. “I’m on my way.”
Julia slowly lowered the phone. She broke down again, and started crying.
The Pressure Outside
Several minutes later, another vehicle stopped in front of the building.
Cory stepped out and immediately saw the crowd of reporters gathered outside.
The number had increased.
Cameras were pointed toward the entrance, while reporters continued shouting questions about Julia and the Senate President.
Cory frowned.
He approached the entrance, but several security personnel immediately moved toward him.
“I need to go inside,” Cory said.
The head of security looked at him.
“Your name?”
“Cory.”
The man checked the instructions he had received from Marcus. Then he nodded.
“Let him through.”
The security guards opened the way.
Cory quickly entered the building.
Marcus had secretly called additional security personnel after seeing how quickly the situation was escalating. They had spread around the property and pushed the reporters farther away from the entrance.
They could have simply forced everyone away from the building, but Marcus knew that would only create another scandal. The story was already bad enough.
A married Senate President had apparently been exposed in an affair with a younger woman.

Using force against reporters would only make the situation worse. So the security team simply created a wider perimeter and kept the reporters away from the building.
Inside, Julia stared at the security personnel through the window.
“Who called all these people?”. Marcus acted clueless.
just then, the door opened.
Cory rushed inside.
The moment he saw Julia, his expression changed.
“Julia!”
He hurried toward her.
“What the hell is happening? I have been seeing all the news. Are they true?”
Julia’s eyes immediately filled with tears.
She shook her head.
“I don’t know.”
She wiped her face.
