Marcus was shocked. Ms. Morgan, who always acted so high and mighty, like she was the most dignified woman in the world, was having sex with her daughter’s friend.

Travis could easily be old enough to be her son, yet she was shamelessly letting him fuck her. Marcus instantly felt concerned for Jessica and wondered how devastated she would be if she ever found out.

He felt like storming in and confronting them, exposing just how disgusting they were. But once again, he reminded himself that this was none of his business. He had already decided not to get involved in their affairs anymore.

Just as he was about to leave, he heard Travis speak.

“If you want another round, then make Jessica sign this.” He pulled out a document and handed it to Ms. Morgan.

Ms. Morgan frowned as she looked it over. “A 100 million profit share contract!”

Travis smiled. “Yes. And look who it’s from, the Langstone family. I told you I knew someone from that family, the one who’s been helping Jessica. Well, he’s about to embark on a major project and needs investors. He’s extremely confident it will succeed. We’re talking at least a billion dollars!”

“Wow… that’s huge,” Ms. Morgan said, clearly enticed.

“He’s only looking for special investors, not the general public. That’s why he hasn’t announced it, otherwise everyone would rush in. The minimum investment is 20 million dollars. If Jessica invests, she’ll get 100 million dollars in return!”.

Ms. Morgan looked up at him. “You want Jessica to invest?”

“Yes, ma’am.”

Travis leaned closer and began explaining smoothly, “This project is virtually zero-risk. It’s a sure thing backed by the Langstones. Only a very limited number of people are being given this opportunity. Anyone who gets in at this stage is extremely lucky, it’s basically a guaranteed windfall for the select few

chosen.”

Ms. Morgan sighed. “Then you should tell her yourself.”

Travis shook his head. “Jessica is too skeptical. She won’t listen to me. But if you can convince her for me, she will sign it without any questions.”

Ms. Morgan smiled. “This is a blessing. Why wouldn’t she sign it? Don’t worry, I will make her.”

She then turned to Travis, caressing his chest. “I know you will always be a blessing to my daughter. Not that stupid fellow Marcus. In fact, if this manages to succeed, I can make the two of you marry each other.”

Travis smiled wickedly. “Well, before that… let me fuck your ass again.”

Marcus, having heard enough, quietly walked back. He approached the room and found Jessica still sleeping peacefully. He wished she would wake up and discover exactly what her mother and Travis were doing behind her back. He stood there for a moment, staring at her with a heavy heart, before walking out.

Once outside, he sighed deeply. It was clear to him that whatever Travis was pushing was a pure scam. Either Travis was running it himself, or someone was scamming him too.

That night, Marcus returned home and found Natalie already in the kitchen, cooking.

“Hey!. you are back!”.

She immediately told him about Jessica coming over earlier to make a scene.

Marcus scoffed and brushed it off, then asked her, “Is there any ongoing project by the Langstones that requires special investment?”

Natalie frowned. “None that I know of.”

Marcus scoffed again. “I thought as much.” He then explained everything he had overheard Travis say.

Natalie’s expression turned furious. “How dare he use the Langstone name to run a scam! I will have him arrested right now.”

Marcus raised a hand. “Chill. Instead, put someone on him to investigate quietly. Someone might be behind him, feeding him this nonsense. we have to catch them all together”

Natalie frowned but eventually nodded.

[The next morning].

In The Alfred family, they were having a group meeting, where Mr. Alfred and others was telling Julia that Marcus won’t get to be the COO of the company!.

Julia shot up from her seat, visibly angry. “Why do you keep retracting things? He already fulfilled his side of the promise according to the contract. We had a deal! Why this sudden change?”

Victoria scoffed. “Firstly, we found out he is originally a student who is still studying business management. Do you know how crazy that is? A student! And you are also his teacher also. How can you want a student to run the company?”

Julia shot back, “He is old enough, and I can help him.”

Mr. Alfred shook his head. “No, I don’t want that. I can’t risk it.”

Ms. Leah added, “Not only that. Have you ever asked yourself how he got the money he’s been spending on you? The ring and all those gifts?”

Julia didn’t know what to say. She had been doubtful and curious about where Marcus was getting his money from. This seemed to explain it, and she couldn’t deny the evidence right in front of her.
