The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 1021

Rebecca's sad, insecure mask vanished as she flashed a brilliant smile.

"Hailey, you're the best!"

Then, she reached out and clasped Hailey's hand, exclaiming, "Hailey, from now on, we'll be best friends!"

Olivia laid her hand on top of theirs and said, "Hailey, Becky, let's hang out more often."

Hailey nodded. "Sure."

Just then, a tall, refined figure stepped into the room.

It was Lester.

He looked at Hailey and called out, "Hailey."

Hailey responded, "Hello, Prof. Larden."

Lester said with a smile, "So, it's your second day of class. Is everything going well?"

Hailey nodded. "I'm doing okay. Thanks for asking, Prof. Larden."

Olivia asked, "Wow, Hailey, you're even close friends with Prof. Larden?"

Hailey didn't want to cause any trouble, but Lester answered with a smile, "That's right. Hailey's like a younger sister to me."

Since he had spoken so openly, Hailey didn't press the matter further.

Hailey said, "Prof. Larden, you should return to your work. Everything's fine here."

Lester said, "Alright. If you need anything, just give me a call."

Then, he left.

Olivia said, "Hailey, I didn't expect you to have so many connections! I can't believe you and Prof. Larden even go way back! Honestly, you two look perfect together—smart, successful, and beautiful!"

Hailey was resigned as she laughed. "Olivia, there's nothing between us. I already have a boyfriend, and we're getting married!"

The news stirred the other students with excitement, crowding around her.

"What? You're getting married?"

"Who's the lucky guy who gets to marry this pretty girl? He must be blessed!"

"Hailey, come on, tell us—who's your fiance?"

Everyone was curious, but Hailey had no intention of revealing his identity just yet.

After all, Jonah had just been on campus yesterday giving a lecture. He was practically a celebrity here.

If her classmates found out that her fiance was Jonah, they would probably lose their minds.

Hailey preferred to keep things low-key, at least for now.

"No more guessing. When the wedding comes, you'll all be invited!"

She was sure that staying close to Hailey would eventually give her the opening she wanted.

Hailey spent the entire day at Aspenfield University for her courses.

Jonah hadn't shown up because he was far too busy to be there every day.

Still, she heard his name more than once among her classmates. Clearly, Jonah had left quite an impression, and the girls couldn't seem to forget him.

Soon, afternoon classes came to an end.

Olivia said, "Hailey, the class finished. I'm heading home first."

Hailey kept her pen moving over the page, sketching designs as she nodded. "See you tomorrow, Olivia."

After that, Olivia left.

Suddenly, Hailey's phone chimed, and a WhatsApp message came through.

She tapped open her WhatsApp and saw Jonah's message.

"Honey, are you done with classes?"

Ever since she had said yes to his proposal last night, he had been calling her "Honey".
