The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 1043

As Hailey glanced up, she caught sight of Jonah's tall, striking figure.

He had finally arrived.

Although Jonah had given lectures here before, the students' enthusiasm hadn't waned. In fact, it only seemed to grow.

The moment Jonah walked in, the entire hall buzzed with excitement.

"Hello, Mr. Pilsner!"

"Mr. Pilsner, it's been too long!"

"Mr. Pilsner, we didn't think you'd come back to teach, but here you are! Looks like our wish has come true!"

The students were ecstatic, their eyes lighting up as they gazed at Jonah.

Jonah was dressed in a custom-tailored black suit. Underneath, his crisp white shirt was complemented by a tie.

He held a book in his hands, and his long, elegant fingers captivated anyone who noticed.

With confidence, he walked to the podium, his piercing gaze sweeping across the room.

Almost immediately, the chatter died down. Jonah held the room in his grasp, his presence radiating authority. The enormous lecture hall seemed to stand still, wrapped in a heavy, almost tangible silence.

Before long, Jonah spoke up. His deep, magnetic voice resonated throughout the hall. "Good afternoon, everyone. It's a pleasure to be here once more and learn alongside all of you."

Seated in the back, Hailey couldn't tear her eyes from him. Even from the furthest row, Jonah seemed to shine, his magnetic presence reaching out to her.

Hailey could hear the rapid thump of her heartbeat in her ears.

From the corner of her eye, she noticed Rebecca seated a few rows ahead. Her eyes were also fixed on Jonah, completely mesmerized by his charm.

Hailey could sense Rebecca's resolve. It was clear she was scheming to win Jonah's heart.

Hailey's lips curled in a sneer. She saw right through Rebecca—this was Melody, hiding behind a new name.

With Ewan out of the picture, Melody had reinvented herself as "Rebecca" to pursue both Jonah and Hailey.

But no matter what, Jonah belonged to Hailey. She wouldn't let anyone take him away from her.

Jonah stood at the podium and addressed the crowd. "Actually, I'm not here to give a lecture today."

The students spoke up at once.

"Wait, Mr. Pilsner, aren't you here to teach us?"

The roll call went on until a familiar name cut through the air.

"Rebecca!"

Rebecca had been waiting for this moment. With a bright smile, she answered, "Here, Mr. Pilsner!"

Jonah raised his head, his eyes meeting hers.

Without missing a beat, the students chimed in.

"Mr. Pilsner, do you know Rebecca?"

"Mr. Pilsner, you didn't look at anyone else like that when you called our names. Looks like you've got a favorite!"

As the teasing from the crowd grew louder, Rebecca's cheeks turned bright red. Nonetheless, the attention only pleased her, feeding her ego.

Winning Jonah's affection would make her the woman everyone else envied.

She craved those jealous stares more than anything.

Beside her, a classmate couldn't help but ask, "Rebecca, what's your relationship with Mr. Pilsner?"
