Celine gasped and widened her eyes in shock. “What? What are you talking about?”
Tapping her fingers against each other, Hailey admitted, “We kissel”
Only then did Celine feel relieved she thought Hailey and Declan had sex.
“Hailey, do you really like Declan?” Celine asked.
Declan’s handsome and indifferent face flashed past Hailey’s mind, making her heart race. It was an uncontrollable feeling–a feeling of liking someone. Halley nodded shyly. “Yes.”
Celine wanted to say something, but she thought better of it. The feeling of liking someone was only between two people. Everyone else was an outsider. Half an hour later, Celine and Hailey finally arrived at the Lambert residence.
Celine was still in the dark about Hailey’s true identity. The latter wanted to explain everything to Celine, so she informed her family earlier to prevent them from exposing her identity.
“Welcome, Ms. Young and Ms. Tate,” Linda greeted warmly.
Celine and Hailey returned the greeting with a smile.
Just then, James descended the stairs. “Celine, you’re here.” Celine turned her gaze to him and nodded, saying, “Yep. I heard you wanted to talk to me.” “Let’s go to the study,” suggested James. “Okay,” Celine answered.
Suddenly, a deep voice rang out “Hold on.
Meanwhile, Celine entered the study first while James went off to take a call. It was Celine’s first time visiting James‘ study. She looked around before taking a seat.
Once the call was done, James rushed to the study. He had many questions to ask Celine
He wanted to know how Celine treated the birthmark on Hailey’s face. He also wanted to know how Celine spotted his mistakes even though she was sleeping in his class
James always thought Celine was full of mysteries. As soon as James entered the study, he froze.
Celine was sitting in his office chair and reading his academic notes. Hearing his footsteps, Celine looked at him. “What’s the matter, Jaines Lambert?”
Hearing Celine use his full name made James‘ legs go weak. He seemed to have realized something. James‘ eyes were wide with shock as he stuttered, “A- Are you Dr. C?”

if there is already a surveillance video as evidence for the poisoning of Hailey, why go all the trouble of pretending? Celine is also pregnant right? What is happening to them, and what about Adam's headaches ......

When will Hailey show that she is Adam's cousin and be ruthless? Joanne needs to be put in her place and realize Jonah does not want her. Ewan is just as bad as she is. Hailey needs to get help from Celine or Adam if she doesn't want Jonah to find out what's happening....
If the focus has to go on other characters in the book, at least make it more interesting! They were separated for three years, and still having love rivals! Especially one from the past!!! Why can’t Ewan and Joanne move in together and move on!!...
Imagine the long read if they decide to switch back to Adam and Celine. Not reading this with the same enthusiasm from the beginning....
