Adam was like a magnet, firmly drawing the attention of all the wealthy heiresses in the room. His presence commanded a guaranteed head-turning rate.
Carly gazed at Adam under the lights. How could she not love this man? Now, he stood at the pinnacle of the social hierarchy, the dream of countless heiresses. She was determined to have him.
Carly's heart fluttered as she stared at Adam while Melody was scanning the room for her own target. She wanted to find a tall, rich, handsome man.
In the past three years, the real estate industry had boomed, and Ewan's net worth had skyrocketed, making him the hottest real estate prince. Melody had never wanted to break up with him, but since Ewan had set his sights on Hailey, she had no choice but to take a hefty breakup fee and leave.
"Mel, have you found someone you like? I'll introduce you," Carly offered.
Melody looked a little shy.
Just then, a rich, handsome man approached and looked at Melody. "Hey, gorgeous. Can we exchange numbers?"
Melody's cheeks flushed as she took out her phone. "Sure."
After they exchanged contacts, the man said, "Let's chat on WhatsApp. If you're free, I'd love to buy you a drink."
He walked away, and Carly nudged Melody playfully. "Mel, you're seriously irresistible. Another one is already falling head over heels for you."
Melody beamed. "I have to thank you for bringing me in, Carly."
"We're best friends. It's what I should do."
Over the past three years, Carly and Melody had both thrived. They came from good families and were beautiful, selfish, and vain. As the saying went, women like them always managed to do well.
Carly led Melody over to Adam. "Adam."
The CEOs surrounding Adam immediately greeted her. "Hello, Ms. Hampton! A pleasure to meet you."
Ever since Carly reunited with the Hampton family in the Capitol, she had changed her name back to Carly Hampton.
She smiled. "Nice to meet you."
Carly was overjoyed. She lived for this kind of praise.
Adam, however, looked cold and displeased. He was about to speak when Melody interjected, "Hey, why hasn't Linny, the legendary billionaire, arrived yet?"
At the mention of "Linny", the crowd instantly buzzed with excitement.
"This female mogul, Linny, is truly something else. Her wealth is nearly on par with Mr. Alvarez! She's proof that women can be just as powerful as men."
"Have any of you ever seen Linny?"
"No, she's incredibly low-key and mysterious. None of us have ever met her in person."
Carly had a natural hostility toward Linny. She smirked. "For Linny to achieve this level of success, she must be quite old by now."
Melody nodded. "Most female billionaires are in their 40s or 50s. They've built up years of experience."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam)
Such a wack writer....
And now we're onto another sets of characters that weren't included from the beginning....
Nathan and Michelle???...
Thought Celine got pregnant before Hailey…..how come Celine is 3 months and Hailey 7?...
if there is already a surveillance video as evidence for the poisoning of Hailey, why go all the trouble of pretending? Celine is also pregnant right? What is happening to them, and what about Adam's headaches ......
Why is this writer like this! Seems it’s going to be a never ending story!!! Rebecca or Melody, why is she here again!!! Don’t these female characters move on!!! Goshhhhh...
A man with a team of invisible bodyguards that only appear on orders and disappear in time of troubles. Hmm😆🤏...
When will Hailey show that she is Adam's cousin and be ruthless? Joanne needs to be put in her place and realize Jonah does not want her. Ewan is just as bad as she is. Hailey needs to get help from Celine or Adam if she doesn't want Jonah to find out what's happening....
If the focus has to go on other characters in the book, at least make it more interesting! They were separated for three years, and still having love rivals! Especially one from the past!!! Why can’t Ewan and Joanne move in together and move on!!...
Imagine the long read if they decide to switch back to Adam and Celine. Not reading this with the same enthusiasm from the beginning....
