Adam said firmly, "Hey, I'm a man, you know. There's no way I wouldn't mind with you dressed up so stunningly tonight!"
When he had walked in earlier and seen her in that dress, standing in front of those men, he had to fight the urge to make all of them disappear for good.
Celine gave him another glare—one that clearly urged him to focus on saving Bella and Grace first.
Just then, Leo walked over and greeted, "Mr. Alvarez, Ms. Tate."
Celine's expression tensed. "Any updates? Did you catch the kidnapper?"
Leo shook his head. "We've searched the private winery inside and out. No suspicious person was found."
Celine's heart sank. "She got away again!"
She was disappointed but not surprised. If Carly had dared to walk into this winery, she clearly had an escape route ready.
Carly had slipped through their fingers once again.
Adam suggested, "Let's go home."
Celine nodded. "Okay."

By the time Adam and Celine returned to the office, the sky was already dark.
Adam asked, "So you're saying… Carly was the kidnapper?"
Celine nodded. "Yes, I'm certain it was Carly, but I have no proof."
Adam furrowed his brows in silence.
Celine stood up. "Mr. Alvarez, you don't believe me, do you? I don't have any evidence, so it's only natural for you to doubt me. After all, Carly is your fiancée. If I were you, I'd probably believe my fiancée too."
With that, she turned to leave.
She turned to leave again.
However, Adam caught her wrist once more. "Celine, where are you going?"
"You said to rest, so I'm going to rest. I'll be staying over at Hailey's place tonight."
"Celine, you're not going anywhere. Stay here. Spend the night here."
Spend the night here?
Although Adam had his personal lounge in the office, Celine had no intention of spending the night there.
"Mr. Alvarez, I still think I should leave."
"Celine, what if there's news about Bella or my mom in the middle of the night?"

if there is already a surveillance video as evidence for the poisoning of Hailey, why go all the trouble of pretending? Celine is also pregnant right? What is happening to them, and what about Adam's headaches ......

When will Hailey show that she is Adam's cousin and be ruthless? Joanne needs to be put in her place and realize Jonah does not want her. Ewan is just as bad as she is. Hailey needs to get help from Celine or Adam if she doesn't want Jonah to find out what's happening....
If the focus has to go on other characters in the book, at least make it more interesting! They were separated for three years, and still having love rivals! Especially one from the past!!! Why can’t Ewan and Joanne move in together and move on!!...
Imagine the long read if they decide to switch back to Adam and Celine. Not reading this with the same enthusiasm from the beginning....
