Fiona quickly pushed him away. "Nigel, what are you doing?"
"What do you think I'm doing? Let's go again!" he leered.
Fiona was speechless. "Nigel, I'm serious. Take it easy!"
He flipped her over and pinned her down. "Just one more time!"
Just as the two were tangled up, a sudden knock came at the door.
A maid's voice came from outside. "Mr. and Mrs. Hampton!"
Fiona immediately pushed him away. "Nigel, someone's here!"
Being interrupted, Nigel was displeased. "What is it?"
"Sir, you have a guest!"
Nigel had no interest in entertaining anyone right now. "Tell them I'm not home. If they need anything, they can make an appointment!"
He leaned in to kiss Fiona again.
Fiona opened her mouth and bit the corner of his lips.
He winced in pain, and his eyes reddened with irritation. "You're not going to behave, huh? Let's see how I deal with you!"
"Nigel, stop messing around! Ah!"
The maid's voice persisted from outside. "Mr. Hampton, you must come out. Mr. Alvarez is here!"
Adam was here!
Fiona shoved Nigel away again. "Nigel, Adam's here!"
Just then, Adam's voice rang from outside the door. "Where is Mr. Hampton? I need to see Mr. Hampton right now! Is Mr. Hampton in this room? If he is, I'm coming in!"
But outside, Adam was already about to break in. "Mr. Hampton, I know you're in there. I have something important to discuss with you!"
Nigel had no choice but to get out of bed. He dressed, opened the door, and saw Adam standing outside.
Nigel pressed his lips together in displeasure. "Adam, what do you need?"
Fiona also stepped out. "Mr. Alvarez."
Adam glanced at Nigel, then at Fiona. He hadn't expected these two to be in the same room. He hesitated. "Mr. Hampton, did I interrupt something?"
Fiona quickly denied it. "Of course not. Mr. Hampton and I were just discussing—"
Nigel shot Adam an annoyed look and cut Fiona off. "Young people these days have no common sense at all!"
Fiona and Adam were speechless.

When will Hailey show that she is Adam's cousin and be ruthless? Joanne needs to be put in her place and realize Jonah does not want her. Ewan is just as bad as she is. Hailey needs to get help from Celine or Adam if she doesn't want Jonah to find out what's happening....
If the focus has to go on other characters in the book, at least make it more interesting! They were separated for three years, and still having love rivals! Especially one from the past!!! Why can’t Ewan and Joanne move in together and move on!!...
Imagine the long read if they decide to switch back to Adam and Celine. Not reading this with the same enthusiasm from the beginning....
