Celine paused for a moment. "We didn't get our marriage registered."
"What?" Grace was taken aback. "You and Adam didn't? I thought today was the day you both agreed to get married."
Celine said, "Adam didn't show up."
Grace responded, "That brat… Has he lost his mind? Why didn't he go?"
"I tried calling him, but his phone wouldn't connect. Has he been home at all?"
"No. He hasn't come back."
"That's strange… I haven't been able to reach him at all. Could something have happened to him?"
Grace's expression changed instantly. "Adam has been wanting to marry you for so long. It's unlike him to miss it. Something might have happened. Don't worry, Celine. I'll have someone look into it right away and call you back."
"Alright."
Grace immediately called Alfred over. "Find out what's going on with Adam—where he is and what he's doing!"
Alfred nodded. "Yes, Mrs. Alvarez!"
Five minutes later, he rushed back, clearly flustered. "Mrs. Alvarez, something's happened to Mr. Alvarez!"
Grace shot to her feet. "What happened to Adam?"
Bella asked, "What happened to Daddy?"
Alfred replied, "Mrs. Alvarez, I checked just now. Mr. Alvarez has been admitted to the hospital."

Celine sat with Hailey in the private dining room when Hailey asked, "Did Mrs. Alvarez send someone to check on him?"
Celine nodded. "She did. I'm sure she'll call back soon."
Celine and Hailey rushed to the hospital as fast as they could.
The moment they stepped into the corridor, Celine stopped a nurse.
"Hi, excuse me. Can you tell me which room Adam is in?"
"You mean Mr. Alvarez? He's in VIP room 405, just down that hall," the nurse replied.
"Alright, thanks."
Without wasting a second, Celine took off toward VIP room 405.
Hailey stayed close by her side. "Don't worry, Celine. I'm sure Adam's going to be alright."
Celine reached the door and pushed it open. "Adam—"
She suddenly stopped, because she saw Carly in the room.

When will Hailey show that she is Adam's cousin and be ruthless? Joanne needs to be put in her place and realize Jonah does not want her. Ewan is just as bad as she is. Hailey needs to get help from Celine or Adam if she doesn't want Jonah to find out what's happening....
If the focus has to go on other characters in the book, at least make it more interesting! They were separated for three years, and still having love rivals! Especially one from the past!!! Why can’t Ewan and Joanne move in together and move on!!...
Imagine the long read if they decide to switch back to Adam and Celine. Not reading this with the same enthusiasm from the beginning....
