The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 996

A cold, mechanical voice echoed through the line. "Sorry, the number you have dialed is unavailable. Please try again later."

Joanne wasn't answering.

Justin didn't hesitate and dialed Hailey's number next, but there was no answer either.

Once again, the same robotic message filled the silence. "Sorry, the number you have dialed is unavailable. Please try again later."

Hailey's phone was off as well.

Why were both their phones unreachable at the same time?

Could something have happened to Hailey and her unborn child? What would Jonah do if the worst actually happened?

Upon recalling Jonah's earlier words, Justin suddenly broke out in a cold sweat.

A wave of regret crashed over him.

With both Hailey and Joanne unreachable, panic gripped him tightly. He was at a loss.

There was only one option left—he had to come clean and tell Jonah everything.

Justin stormed into the CEO's office. "Jonah!"

Jonah looked up from his paperwork. "Justin? You look like you've seen a ghost. What's going on?"

Justin stepped forward. "Jonah, I need to tell you something."

"What is it?"

"It concerns Hailey."

Jonah immediately set down his pen and stood up. "What exactly are you getting at?"

Justin still couldn't bring himself to believe it. Deep down, he didn't want to suspect Joanne. She'd always been a good friend and someone he trusted.

"Jonah, don't jump to conclusions yet. Let's just get back to the villa. Hailey might still be there."

Jonah wasted no time and snatched his car keys. "Let's move. Now!"

With Justin riding shotgun, he sped through the streets. As soon as they pulled up, Jonah burst through the front door. "Hailey?" he called out.

But there was no answer.

The villa was eerily quiet.

For the past two days, Jonah had been home with Hailey and their unborn child. With the maid on leave, he had taken it upon himself to cook every meal.

But now, Hailey was nowhere to be found.
