After taking care of Justin and putting him to sleep, Ian left the bedroom and anxiously dialed Arnold’s number in the living room.
The call barely rang a few times before Arnold picked up. The background was as noisy as always. “Mr. Harris, is something wrong with Mr. Salvador?”
Hearing Arnold’s perceptive tone, Ian—who was known for never calling without a reason—felt embarrassed. But he still politely asked, “Dr. Larson, Mr. Salvador’s medicine is almost finished. Could you give us two more bottles?”
“So fast? I gave you three bottles last time!” Arnold was shocked.
He did not treat Ian as an outsider and said bluntly, “Is Mr. Salvador treating my medicine like candy? I’m telling you, this kind of nerve suppressant damages both the nerves and kidneys. Too much of it harms the brain and sexual function. He might not get his little guy up in the future!”
“But there’s no other way now! Mr. Salvador really can’t function without the medicine. He could relapse anytime. If someone caught that on camera and spread it around, everything would be over!”
Desperate and reckless with words, Ian blurted out, “Besides, Mr. Salvador’s stamina is amazing. Even if he doesn’t last long, he’ll still be stronger than most men! The Young Madam is always exhausted after being with him. She might finally get some rest next time.”
“Hahaha!” Arnold laughed, completely speechless.
“I don’t have much of the medicine left either. The new batch is still under research at the lab in Meridan. This time, it should have less impact on the nervous system. Hopefully, it can help neutralize the remaining toxins in Mr. Salvador’s body. I’ll bring it over to him next week when it’s ready.”
Ian expressed his gratitude repeatedly. “Thank you, Dr. Larson! Thank you so much!”
Meanwhile, in a noisy nightclub, Arnold ended the call and sat alone at a corner of the bar. He tilted his head back and downed another glass of liquor.
After leaving Asher, he had returned to this chaotic lifestyle. Only now, he no longer dated anyone, nor did he believe in love anymore.
That night, both men and women came to flirt with him. The faint scar on his face did not diminish his looks. Instead, it added a touch of ruggedness to his fox-like and refined features, making him even more alluring and mysterious.
Just as Arnold was about to leave, a man dressed in black suddenly sat down beside him. “Dr. Larson, what a coincidence.”
