**Chapter 214**

**Gemma’s POV**

Dragging Mikhail back into the company feels akin to trying to rein in a tempest, a wild storm that refuses to be tamed. His arm jerks violently against my grip, and I can practically feel the intensity of his murderous glare boring into the back of my head. Yet, I refuse to let my pace falter; I am determined to keep moving forward.

As we make our way through the office, the atmosphere shifts. The staff seems to collectively hold their breath, their eyes wide with disbelief and a hint of admiration. They watch us pass, barely concealing their shock.

“Did she really just drag him back?” one whispers, incredulous.
“No one has ever managed that before…” another murmurs, eyes darting.
“Remember that secretary who quit within a week?”
“The last one couldn’t even last a month! She left in tears, unable to attend a single meeting with him…”
“So how on earth did she manage to assert control over him?”

The whispers swirl around us like a whirlwind as we approach his cabin on the twelfth floor.

Once inside his office, Mikhail drops into his chair with an exaggerated sigh, his eyes narrowing into slits as he glares at me, as if I alone am responsible for ruining his entire day.

“Unfreeze my bank cards,” he sulks, his voice low and gruff, reminiscent of a caged beast yearning for freedom. “I’ve had enough of this drama.”

Without a moment’s hesitation, I unlock my phone and tap a few buttons, then slide it back into my pocket, crossing my arms defiantly over my chest. “Done,” I reply, a hint of satisfaction creeping into my tone.

His eyes narrow further, suspicion flickering across his face. “Is it really that easy? No way, you must be lying.”

I shrug nonchalantly, my demeanor calm. “If you don’t believe me, check for yourself. Go ahead, transfer some money.”

I tilt my head slightly, keeping my voice steady. “But don’t expect too much. Mr. Smith has already set a daily limit for you.”

His hand, which had been reaching for his phone, freezes mid-air. “What did you just say?”

“Yep, a limit. You can spend up to five million per day. That’s your ceiling. Nothing more, although I think it’s quite generous, don’t you?”

“Dammit!”

He growls, slamming his palm against the desk, the sound echoing through the office as pens rattle in their holder.

“What kind of spell have you put him under? I’ve never had any limits. Never.”

“Now you do,” I reply simply, my tone unyielding. “And it’s not negotiable. Trust me, you’ll survive.”

He leans forward, irritation etched across his features.

“You think this gives you some kind of authority over me? Don’t get too drunk on this power! Remember, you’re just a housekeeper—”

“Call me whatever you want,” I interject, cutting him off. “But as of now, I’m the housekeeper who knows exactly where you are every second of the day.”

“You mean that stunt at the range? That was just a coincidence, wasn’t it?”

“Oh, didn’t I mention?”

I blink innocently, adopting a matter-of-fact tone. “I installed a tracking program on your phone this morning. It runs in the background and provides real-time location tracking.”

The smug smile that had graced his features vanishes in an instant.

“Delete it!”

He tosses the phone across the desk at me, but I make no move to catch it. “No.”

“No? Fine, then I will—”

“You can’t. It’s not a normal app that shows up on the interface; that’s why you didn’t notice it until now. Just remember that whenever you try to disappear again, I’ll know. And even if you manage to find the app and delete it, I’ll simply reinstall it. So don’t waste your time.”

“Good! I’ll throw away the entire phone—”

“If you want to, go ahead; you’ll just run out of your own daily limit sooner. And before you waste energy fighting me, remember everything I do has Mr. Smith’s approval. Try reporting me, and you’ll only embarrass yourself.”
