Paul walked over and sat down. “You’ve got that footage of you and her talking right,” he
asked.
“Yes, and the pack handyman, Mel, was right there for it the entire time. I even engaged him in the conversation.” She told him, “That stupid girl tried to play, she was afraid of me, that I was there to hurt her pup. When it’s not even confirmed there is one.
“I didn’t get within arms reach of her, until I put that card in her hand, though I did manage to get her to insult me; all anger and aggression; call me a bitch to my face.” She chuckled softly. “She doesn’t like it when she doesn’t get her own way… I got that all saved to,
“It’s a pity, you know, Paul. That she doesn’t want to learn everything there is about the running of this pack, and all her actual duties, she’d have access to so much more, like the pack’s security system and all the footage there is, or to turn cameras on and off to lay out her plans.”
“I’ll not be allowing that,” Paul muttered. “You’ll likely wind up dead at some point.”
Mischa raised an eyebrow at him. “I don’t think so. I think she would more than likely use it, the other way around, no cameras on and her getting hurt. When I was in the same area, and turn it on me, that I turned the cameras off to hurt her. It won’t work now. Nothing she states against me will not be investigated to the enth degree.
“But if that girl actually did anything more than fuck Anthony copiously, to keep him by her side, she might actually learn how to play the game she started, could use all the pack resources to her advantage and plan ahead properly.”
“Debbie is teaching her now, though.” Paul frowned. “I’ll speak with the tech department and make sure I’m notified if she suddenly wants approval for the security cameras.”
“Mm, alright.” She nodded. It was probably wise to know, “But even with her learning all the duties from Debbie, that doesn’t mean that Christy will actually tend to Luna’s Duties, and do the actual job now does it? She looked horrified the other day about my 60 to 80 hour working weeks. She doesn’t even like a 40–hour working week, which is normal not only here but in the human world for full–time employment.” She shook her head. “That girl wouldn’t survive in the human world on her own.”
“Unlikely,” Paul nodded. “But Mischa…” he paused and seemed to think about something for a long time before going on, “What if you were to force her hand into having to do the Luna’s Duties.” He mused “Once her official training is over with Debbie of course, whenever that happens, one year or two.

“Once Debbie actually passes her, and states she is qualified to be one of the pack’s Luna’s to not only yourself but Anthony as well. You could tell Anthony you’re taking a half step back, provide a full list of duties she’s to do, or have her pick and choose the ones off your list to do with Anthony right there, a full 50/50 split.
“That would see her be held accountable for what she chooses, and you could have Anthony draw up an agreement about it. Say rotate the duties every six months so she can’t say she’s got a heavier workload or is bored and wants to do something you’re doing.”
She looked at him and nodded. That was a good way of doing it, and a contract from Anthony himself would see him have to hold Christy accountable to it. None of the blame could be pushed on to her. “I’d want a monthly switching of it. I’d have to have May or Simone compile the list though, categorize it out into what’s considered easy or time–consuming. So, she can’t say I’m trying to make her work more than is necessary, and so that she can’t just pick all easy duties either.”
“I’m certain one of them will oblige.” He chuckled, “They see much, already stated that for all
to hear.”
She could only agree with him. “I’ll make a note of it and find time to speak with May and Simone. I don’t want it to be Debbie, solely because always using Debbie, though I think Debbie would find it highly amusing, might seem as if we’re ganging up on her.”
“Hmm, true… Though you could ask Anthony to choose one of them instead of picking one yourself. Or even better, have Christy choose herself who’s to divi up the duties. Then she’s got no one to blame bar herself.”
Mischa chuckled softly. “Oh, I can go better, I’ll have Christy and myself write up what we think is an even share of the duties, and hand it to Anthony, have it verify with the three elders, that it’s an equal share of pack duties. Let’s see if she will do the honest thing or try and only allocate herself the light easy tasks?”
“Now we got our thinking caps on,” Paul chuckled softly. “But I can now see, with all this talk, another option you could put to Anthony, one that will see her have to work her ass off.”
“Do tell.” She smiled.
“Just tell Anthony he has two Lunas. He only needs one in the Luna’s office, and you’re willing to take a full step back. Just be the pack accountant full–time. This would force Christy to not only sit in that chair but actually have to do the job. You’ll, of course, step up and into the
role when and where it is needed.
“Such as when she goes into heat, or when she’s birthed a pup and gets a full month off, to bond properly. When she has to go into the city to be on his arm for business functions. So

it’s not like you’re not willing to do the job.
“He’s been telling you for the past two months you work too hard, you never have time for him or yourself. Waiting until Christy’s lessons are complete as well, means you’ve been attending to all the Luna Duties as well as accounting duties. He can’t really argue about you taking a step back, you’ve always worked longer hours than he has, and he’s taking it for granted now.
“You could state you’re exhausted and need a break, use that new system to pull up your hours in a month and show him how much you work. I know you work after hours and so does he, he just no longer sees it, because you’re not in the Alpha Suite office doing that. With all the evidence before him, he can’t refuse, now can he.”
“I guess not.” She nodded.
“If you take a full step back, Mischa, Christy is then solely responsible for all Luna Duties. Anthony will, I think, not only agree with you working less, but he’ll also expect Christy to do the job, and then see that she isn’t doing it, when things aren’t getting done.”
“Christy, I think, will love that I’m not in the Luna’s office either. Think Anthony is only seeing her as the pack’s Luna and getting ready to reject me.” She nodded. “So I don’t think she’ll actually refuse the idea of being the only one in the Luna’s office… Though I foresee my unit having issues with this plan, that work is going to be dumped onto them.”
“Hmm…” he was quiet for a long time, then he just smiled. “Oh I have it. They’ll just stop working when she does. Follow her lead. So, when she gets up and leaves the pack to go shopping or to see Anthony in the city, or whatever she does,” he shrugged. “They close up and leave the office as well, because, technically, like us, Anthony’s unit. Their day is done when the Luna’s day is done.”
She nodded as she thought about that, “I can have them work at her pace as well, so if something normally takes me 30 minutes, but Christy takes longer, say 15, 20, 45 or 60 minutes, they will take that long as well.”
“We really are setting her up to fail,” Paul mused with a nod.
“Well, failure is on her. We can set it all up, but if she actually pulls her socks up and does the real job properly, she’ll not fail at all. Probably gain your Mate and the others respect over time as well. So really, all we’re doing is giving her the opportunity to prove whether or not she wants to be a real Luna to this pack.”
He nodded. “I can look at it that way.”
“You, Paul, really are a good Gamma.” She smiled at him, and his sitting here plotting and planning the possible demise of the pack’s other Luna, though there was full room for Christy

not to fail at the same time, she could prove them both wrong and be a good Luna.
That would be the best for everyone, not just Anthony, but the pack itself, and any future children Anthony and Christy have as well. It would also show this pack she’d learned her lesson and wanted to change her ways, be the Luna Selena had gifted her the right to be.
“I’m you’re Gamma, not hers, remember,” Paul snorted. “So you are my only Luna, I’m at your service… this is what she wanted, stated. I don’t consider anything we discuss about her to be against my Gamma title. She rejected me as her Gamma so…” he shrugged. “I also don’t really like her anymore than you do.”
“Leave with me, when I go?” she asked. It was not something she’d thought of before, but if he didn’t like Christy and wasn’t her Gamma, it was possible he’d go with her. She’d not thought to ask before now. He was part of Anthony’s unit. But here and now she was curious as to who he would side with in the end.
“Hmm, sorry Mischa, it’s unlikely and not because I wouldn’t want to, but because my entire family is here, Carol’s family is also all here. We were both born into this pack. I also think Anthony will need me here. For that inevitable day when after you’ve left, and he realizes Christy isn’t who he thought she was.”
“I wasn’t expecting it, Paul, just a little wistful thinking on my part.” She nodded. “Who knows,
Paul, she might actually shock us both, the entire pack, and be a better person if I’m not around, and she gets everything she wants. Hell, just having me out of this very office and out of sight could do that.”
”
He nodded. “Anything is possible, though… personally I doubt it.” He stood. “I guess we’ll see.
