The Ex-Wife's Burning Elegance novel Chapter 1459

A deeply meaningful smile spread across Sellers's face. "But what if she wasn't? Then she'd have to give back everything she's received, wouldn't she?"

Sherman froze. "Uncle, are you suggesting…?"

Sellers's eyes gleamed with cunning. "Old Mrs. Cameron's birthday banquet is coming up. It's the perfect opportunity. All we have to do is sit back and enjoy the show."

After her release from the hospital, Lynne, unwilling to give up, tried to approach Joshua two more times. Each attempt resulted in progressively worse injuries. Every time, before she could even get close to him, some sort of freak accident would occur.

Thinking the problem might be the indoor settings, she arranged to meet him in a quiet, atmospheric park. The dense foliage provided a perfect, secluded spot for a clandestine encounter. As always, Joshua readily agreed.

However, just as she was about to demonstrate how to perform a "wall slam," a hornet's nest from a branch overhead inexplicably fell directly onto her head. Her face swelled up like a balloon.

Joshua kindly called an ambulance for her.

When Stella heard that Lynne had been in another accident with Joshua present, she went to the hospital to visit.

As she approached the room, she could hear screams and furious curses from within. Pushing the door open, she saw several young women surrounding a hospital bed, physically attacking Lynne.

Stella was stunned by the scene. Just then, Joshua, who had been standing in the room watching the spectacle, noticed her. He stepped out into the hallway. "Star, you're here."

"You tramp, slept with by a thousand men! You love showing off your body, don't you? Well, today we'll give you a real show!" With that, she started ripping at Lynne's hospital gown.

"Star, this isn't exactly a comfortable scene," Joshua said. "Why don't we talk outside?"

Stella hadn't realized Lynne's private life was so chaotic. Not wanting Joshua to see anything too scandalous, she quickly agreed and left the room with him. They had just found a quiet spot down the hall when a group of men came rushing from the other end of the corridor.

"Lynne, my love, what happened? Why are you in the hospital? I was so worried! Tell me where it hurts, baby."

"Hey, Lynne, isn't that your cousin? Why is he calling you 'baby'?"
