The Ex-Wife's Burning Elegance novel Chapter 1572

Sellers had wasted too much time focusing on Joshua, giving Stella the perfect opportunity. The very foundation he thought Joshua couldn't shake had been rattled by her.

What Abby found truly incredible was that even after suffering such a significant loss, Sellers still thought a few words could make Stella hand over the assets. The man's logic was on another level.

Stella, however, wasn't bothered. "The more they underestimate me, the more effective we can be. It actually makes it easier for us to succeed."

Abby smiled. "For the foreseeable future, Sellers will probably be too busy putting out his own fires to bother us. Star, this victory feels amazing! We not only put Sellers in his place but also took over a portion of the Burton family's medical resources. Let's see how arrogant he can be now. Does he still think he's the one and only, irreplaceable?"

Stella cautioned, "We may have secured some of their medical assets for now, but we can't celebrate too early. Sellers still controls the majority of the medical sector. Besides, many of the Burtons are in the medical field. As long as they have the capacity for research and innovation, they'll remain a powerhouse. Compared to The Burton Group, we don't have a significant advantage."

Abby disagreed. "The Burton family has people in R&D, but so do we."

Stella looked at her. "We do?"

Abby winked playfully. "We have Old Mr. Burton. He's worth ten of their researchers combined. He even gave us one of his new medicinal recipes last time, which shows he's on our side. So, we don't have to worry too much about innovation. Sellers' days of market domination are numbered."

Stella met Abby's worried gaze. "Abby, thank you for all your hard work lately."

Abby looked sheepish. "I can only handle the simple tasks. I can't strategize and help you like Joshua could…"

At the mention of Joshua, Abby trailed off. Busy days always flew by. She suddenly realized it had been over a month since he left. They had been so swamped with work that his name rarely came up.

As for Foreman… after his last visit, Abby had instructed the front desk not to let him in again without an appointment. The receptionist had apologized, explaining she'd let him in because he had visited Stella so many times before that she assumed they were close friends. From now on, no one would be allowed in unannounced, no matter who they were.
