The Ex-Wife's Burning Elegance novel Chapter 1623

After a moment's thought, she opened the door.

Aurora stood outside, smiling. "Star, do you have a minute? There's something I'd like to talk to you about."

Stella invited her in. "What would you like to drink?"

"Just water is fine," Aurora replied.

Ever since Stella had returned to the Williams family, she and Aurora had never spoken alone. Some things were mutually understood, making false pleasantries unnecessary and hypocritical. Aurora was also self-aware enough not to cozy up to Stella or feign concern in front of the family to win favor, aside from polite greetings when they crossed paths.

Therefore, despite their opposing positions, Stella didn't dislike Aurora with the same intensity she felt for Rachel.

Stella knew Aurora was smart. Schemes like Rachel's carried too high a risk of getting caught. Besides, Aurora already had the family's favor; why would she need to go to such lengths to crush someone? Even without her plotting and scheming, the other Williams family members would act on their own for the sake of the original shares. There was no need for her to get her hands dirty with such a thankless task.

Thus, Aurora always maintained a detached, untainted demeanor.

After pouring Aurora a glass of water, Stella asked, "You came to see me specifically. Is there something you wanted to tell me?"

Aurora stared at the glass in front of her, seemingly lost in thought.

Stella didn't rush her.

Aurora watched Stella's expression closely. Although the change was subtle, her sharp eyes caught the abnormality.

It seemed Stella didn't know.

Aurora continued, "Rachel was the one who leaked Simone Lerman's explicit video, so Simone has been having people look for her. Later, Leonard found Rachel and learned some of Joshua's secrets from her..."

Aurora didn't draw it out. She took a sip of water and went on, "Joshua has an ex-wife. Rachel said it seemed they had just gotten divorced not long before. Rachel didn't know the reason for the divorce, but she overheard the Gardners talking. They said the ex-wife had known Joshua for a long time. It was her idea to search for the person who played 'Moonlight' in the garden. She wanted to leave Joshua with a sentimental memory. The ex-wife only left after Rachel was found. However, Rachel never saw her in person. Rachel wasn't with Joshua for long, so what she heard was limited."

As if afraid Stella wouldn't believe her, Aurora added, "Leonard and Simone both know about this. Of course, if you don't believe me, you can ask Rachel yourself."
