The Ex-Wife's Burning Elegance novel Chapter 1693

Joshua had paved the way for her in so many areas and taught her so much; he hadn't just done the work for her. He had protected her when she was at her most vulnerable, sheltering her under his wing and allowing her to grow. Without him, her ambitions would have been crushed before they even had a chance to bloom.

Now, from her current position, Stella could see things she had never noticed before.

At the mention of Joshua, Abby's smile turned mischievous.

"Hehe, see? I told you winning over Joshua was worth it. Aurora might have a lot of admirers, but not a single one of them is in his league. Joshua could handle all of them by himself."

Then, as if remembering something, Abby added, "Star, are you and Joshua… hearing wedding bells soon?"

Stella asked, "What wedding bells?"

"Joshua's been looking at houses lately," Abby said. "He even asked me about your favorite interior design styles… It seems like he's planning to renovate a place. Is he getting your future home ready? Star, have you two already started talking about marriage?"

Stella was quiet for a few seconds before answering, "No, Joshua and I aren't together yet…"

Abby cut her off before she could finish.

"Star, have you not checked Twitter recently?"

"No, I haven't," Stella admitted. "It's been busy, so I haven't looked in a while. Why?"

Abby gave her a look that was hard to describe. "Your Joshua already made it official on Twitter, and you're still saying you're not together?"

Hearing this, Stella pulled out her phone and opened Joshua's Twitter profile.

When she saw it, she nearly dropped her phone.

A picture of two clasped hands filled the screen. Anyone who knew Stella would recognize her hand instantly.

When Joshua had worked as her bodyguard, he had added almost all of her friends for easier communication. Not just Antoney Watson, Abby, and Candida Fletcher, but also Haynes O'Brien, Neville Connolly, and Foreman Richards. Of course, Keen O'Brien and Marvin Connolly were on the list too.

The tweet had no caption, but the photo alone was enough to make people's imaginations run wild.

Antoney, Abby, and Candida had all liked it.

Stella also saw a few comments from their mutual friends.

After the signing was complete, Stella was about to leave when the other party's project manager stopped her.

"Ms. Cameron, our company's president would like to see you."

The family Stella had just partnered with was a foreign powerhouse, on par with the Quinns.

Stella had never met their president.

Since he had extended an invitation, she agreed and followed the secretary to a room down the hall.

The secretary knocked, then invited Stella inside.

When she saw the person in the room, a flash of surprise crossed her face, but she quickly regained her composure.

She was about to greet him, but he spoke first.

"You're not good enough for Joshua."
