The Ex-Wife's Burning Elegance novel Chapter 1786

Stella recounted her earlier discussion with Abby for Joshua.

Joshua nodded slightly. "Yes, that approach works."

Stella and Abby exchanged a look. It was clear Joshua wasn't in a good state.

Abby had wanted to talk to Stella about Joshua, but he was sticking so close to her that she couldn't find an opportunity.

After making an excuse to leave, Abby texted Stella.

[Star, I think Joshua might be sick.]

Stella had also noticed something was off with Joshua, but she didn't know how serious it was.

She knew he suffered from severe headaches that could make him lose control.

She had also learned from Beckett Torres that Joshua had undergone hypnosis to treat them, and then there were the rumors about the Gardner family...

Stella had a vague guess about Joshua's condition.

However, in all the time Joshua had been by her side, aside from his frequent insomnia, Stella didn't think the so-called Gardner family illness was as dramatic as the rumors claimed.

In fact, she thought they were exaggerated.

Just as Stella was lost in thought, her phone rang.

The caller ID showed an unknown number.

Stella answered the call. "Hello, who is this?"

A cool, clear female voice came from the other end.

"Ms. Cameron, this is Laurel Quinn. Is this a good time to talk?"

Stella gave Joshua a subtle glance before getting up and walking toward the window.

Even in the same room, Joshua didn't follow her too closely.

Seeing her take a call by the window, Joshua just looked at her for a moment before staying seated.

"It is," Stella said.
