The Ex-Wife's Burning Elegance novel Chapter 1919

Stella steadied her nerves and gave Lauretta a call.

"Stella," Lauretta's voice came through the line.

Her tone was soft, as if deliberately hushed.

Stella asked, "I saw the news about the Chapman family... Lauretta, is it serious?"

Lauretta's voice was a bit heavy. "Yeah. Actually, The Chapman Group has been having issues for the past few days, but it's only gotten worse. By the time it hit the news, it meant the situation could no longer be covered up."

Stella asked, "What exactly happened? Was a corporate secret really leaked?"

Lauretta didn't hide anything from Stella and spoke the truth. "Yes, a very important project of ours had its confidential files leaked. This project hasn't officially launched yet, and only my parents and brother knew about it. Not even the top executives at The Chapman Group knew the specifics. But recently, this secret was leaked."

Lauretta paused, then whispered, "This confidential file has always been kept by my brother. So, my parents suspect it was leaked from him."

Lauretta hesitated for a moment before adding, "Right now, Mom and Dad believe the person who leaked our family's secret... is very likely Aurora."

"Aurora?" Stella asked. "Why do they think it's her?"

Lauretta explained, "In the entire Chapman household, the only person who can enter my brother's study is Aurora. Normally, when he's not around, even my parents and I can't get in. Aurora used to work at The Williams Group and knows a lot about business. She fully has the capability to steal corporate secrets from my brother's computer."
