The Ex-Wife's Triumph novel Chapter 220

He said, "My teacher taught me, so of course I know!"

Saying that, he turned to look at Lucy, who was bowing her head to reply to messages, and called out sweetly, "Mama!"

Lucy looked up at him immediately, her eyes full of smiles:

"Our Seven is so smart. Mommy is proud of you!"

"Mama, I love you!" Seven beamed brightly, his little face radiating happiness.

Jules pulled him onto his lap and teased him intentionally. "Then do you like me?"

"Yes, I do!" Seven answered crisply, counting on his little fingers.

"I also like Uncle Sterling, Molly... I like so many people!"

Jules lowered his head and kissed the boy's chubby cheek, his heart melting into a puddle. "It really pays off to spoil you."

Seven didn't reply. Instead, he twisted his small body, struggling to get to the lounge chair where Lucy was.

Jules set him down over there. As soon as the little guy sat steady, he looked up at Lucy and reminded her seriously:

"Mama, your eyes need to rest. You can't look at the phone all the time."

Lucy smiled and put her phone into her bag, gently scraping the tip of his nose with her finger:

"Got it. Look, the tide is out over there. Shall we go catch little crabs?"

Seven’s eyes lit up instantly, and he nodded vigorously. "Yes! Jules, are you coming?"

Jules leaned back in his chair and smiled, waving at them:

"You go ahead. I'll rest for a bit and find you later."

"Okay! Good~" Seven responded crisply, already pulling Lucy’s hand and running toward the beach.

"Don't tell me Lucy married someone else?"

Xavier complained internally: "Can't you hope for something better?" But verbally, he answered honestly, "No... He found the little Young Master."

"What?"

Ethan was so shocked he almost dropped his phone. His mind raced: "If I go treat him now, isn't that just walking into a beating?" But he quickly instructed,

"With his condition, the key is not to get agitated again. Stabilize the blood pressure and let him recover slowly, and he'll be fine."

Xavier listened, then added faintly, "It's a pity, Dr. Sterling. You missed out on a huge medical fee."

Ethan's heart skipped a beat: "True. If anyone is getting hit, it should be Thurston. What does it have to do with me? Why am I scared?"

He changed his tune immediately, his tone resolute, "Don't say that! I'm booking a flight right now. Even if I'm at the North Pole, I'll crawl there! I guarantee I'll keep him safe and sound!"
