The Extra Who Shouldn't Exist novel Chapter 341

Chapter 341: Chapter 341 : The world tree (2)

A crushing pressure burst out from him, invisible but undeniable. The air grew heavy; the ground itself seemed to groan.

One by one, the surrounding elves dropped to their knees, faces contorted in shock and fear as their bodies refused to stand under the weight of his presence.

Some of them screamed, unable to handle the pressure.

Jacob stared at Alex, eyes wide with awe.

’So this is why he became king at such a young age,’ he thought. ’This is the difference.’

A sharp voice cut through the tension.

"What the hell is going on here?"

Alex retracted his aura instantly.

He recognized that voice.

’The hell—how did she track me this soon?’ he thought.

Virina, still hunched over in pain, glanced up. "Who are you talking about...?"

The crowd of kneeling elves parted.

Elaria strode through them, head held high. Sunlight caught her hair, making it shine, and her emerald eyes burned with a sharp light. Even in the chaos, people on the street paused, momentarily mesmerized by her presence—including several guards and even Jacob.

Ignoring every stare, Elaria walked straight up to Alex and smacked him hard on the back of the head.

"Ow!" Alex snapped. "What the hell was that for?"

"Do you really not know why?" Elaria shot back.

"What are you doing?" Alex grumbled. "Do you have the nose of a dog? How did you track me here so fast?"

Elaria’s mouth twitched. Her fist clenched, ready to launch directly into his face.

Before she could swing, Thirion staggered over, still battered but forcing himself upright.

"Princess, get away from him!" he cried. "That guy is dangerous! I know you’re here to save me, but please don’t put yourself in danger. That crazy human tried to kill us all!"

Elaria’s gaze turned ice‑cold.

She turned toward him and walked forward with an expressionless face.

Then she slapped him.

Hard.

The sound rang out across the street.

Alex whistled softly. "Now that was something."

Elaria stared down at Thirion, then looked at the others lying around him.

"So," she said, voice calm but sharp, "do you realize who you were trying to mess with?"

"We’re at war," she continued. "If people from his nation found out how you treated him here, it would affect our entire country."

Thirion’s breath hitched. "A‑Are you saying he really is that guy? The one who recently took the throne of the human empire...?"

Elaria slapped him again, this time leaning close to whisper into his ear.

"Stay away from my friend," she said quietly, "or I’ll bury you myself."

Thirion’s whole body began to shake.

His legs gave out and he collapsed to his knees.

Elaria turned and walked back to Alex.

"That was really something," Alex said. "Gotta say, I’m impressed."

Elaria gave a smug smile. "Is that so, huh."

Her gaze shifted to Jacob, who was still standing there in a daze.

"Do I know you?" she asked.

Jacob immediately dropped to one knee.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Princess," he said quickly. "My name is Jacob Rivania, eldest son of Marquis Marek Rivania."

"Oh, I know him," Elaria said. "That old, strict guy."

As she spoke, another voice came from behind her.

"I greet the princess."

Alex was already sitting in the driver’s seat of the car, one arm out the open window.

"You two coming," he said, "or I’m leaving alone again."

"You’re impossible," Elaria muttered.

"I know," Alex replied.

Elaria and Jacob climbed into the car.

Alex stepped on the pedal.

The vehicle shot forward, heading straight toward the World Tree.

As they approached the heart of the capital, guards at checkpoints moved to block the road—but the moment they saw Elaria inside, they saluted and waved them through without question.

Meanwhile...

The World Tree towered above everything—its colossal trunk wrapped in layered bark etched with faint, glowing lines of ancient power. Countless branches spread outward like a vast, protective canopy, each heavy with leaves that shimmered in shades of green and gold. Light filtered through them in soft beams, painting the ground with patterns that seemed to shift and breathe.

Flowers bloomed along its roots and lower branches, petals vibrant with mana. Streams of crystal‑clear water flowed from small springs around its base, filling the air with a cool, refreshing scent. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

As Alex’s car drew closer, the tree stirred.

As if sensing something—or someone—it had been waiting for, the World Tree seemed to... brighten. Leaves rustled in an invisible breeze, flowers opened wider, and new blossoms suddenly unfurled along its branches.

For a moment, it looked as if the entire tree was dancing.

Welcoming.
