The Fake Heiress Turns Out to Be a True Tycoon! novel Chapter 1093

Chapter 1093: Chapter 1093: The Death of Damian Carlson

Althea can connect to the Heavenly Dao and understand the essence of all things.

In the past, no matter where Damian Carlson was, she could always sense his presence immediately.

Yet now, she couldn’t sense him anymore.

After an initial moment of helplessness, Althea’s eyes gradually darkened. In the next second, her figure suddenly vanished in front of Scarlett Jennings.

Seeing this, Scarlett’s mind tensed, but she didn’t immediately follow. Instead, her gaze swept over the three nearly lifeless Ferocious Beasts.

Ignoring her damaged Divine Soul, Scarlett single-handedly chanted, once again summoning the Three-tailed form with her Divine Soul.

The Three tails darted toward the Ferocious Beasts without hesitation, piercing through their chests and pinning them to the spot.

The Ferocious Beasts let out pitiful groans, barely audible.

Ensuring they couldn’t stir any trouble, Scarlett’s Fox Tail finally vanished.

However, the tails impaling the Ferocious Beasts turned into stone pillars, immobilizing them.

After doing this, Scarlett’s Divine Soul grew increasingly weak. Nonetheless, she brushed it aside, drawing a line in the void before her.

The demonic power of the Nine-tailed split open the void’s rift, and following Althea’s aura, Scarlett stepped into the rift, appearing in the Imperial City of Heavenly Origin.

As she stepped out of the rift and caught sight of the Imperial City, Scarlett found herself momentarily dazed.

Months ago, when she left, the Imperial City was bustling, with intricate buildings, wide streets, and the faint memory of the citizens’ farewell.

But now, the city lay in ruins; its walls battered, blood nearly staining the moat red.

The city within fared no better; several areas stood as ruins after being ravaged by fire and sword. Though not as corpse-laden as outside the city, the bloodstains on the cobblestones testified to past horrors in this city.

Scarlett didn’t linger, instead following Althea’s aura.

Before finding Althea, Samuel Chalmers appeared before her.

He was still clad in armor, stained with blood and grime, looking more disheveled than she’d ever seen him. More concerning was the dimming of the Golden Light around him.

A sense of foreboding filled Scarlett’s heart. Without pausing to ask, she quickly found where Althea was.

The city’s sacrificial altar, where she and Samuel once worshipped heaven and earth together, now held Althea, and before her lay a lifeless Golden Dragon.

That was Damian’s true form.

The massive Golden Dragon sprawled around the altar, its once brilliant scales now dull and lightless.

What struck Scarlett most was the numerous swords and daggers stabbed into Damian’s body, each emanating human malevolence and hostility.

Though she knew these weren’t the cause of Damian’s demise, nor could they truly harm his core.

But... when Damian was stabbed, it must have been excruciating.

The Phoenix of Five-Colored was nearby, having lost several feathers. It sat there, tears falling, wailing softly.

Possibly annoyed by the noise, Althea swatted the little creature away with a tail.

Then she moved forward, gently embracing the dragon’s head, her remaining seven tails wrapped around it.

Pure demon energy emanated from her body.

Scarlett watched as that energy seeped into Damian, only to vanish without a trace.

Damian’s body no longer responded to her as before.

Scarlett felt a weight pressing on her chest, her throat choked with words unspoken.

She never imagined Damian would meet such a fate.

How could this happen to him?

He was supposed to be...

"Chaos and Shu’e appeared in the city; Damian killed Chaos."

Samuel approached her, recounting the events of the past three days in a calm voice.

...

Seeing that no amount of demonic power could revive Damian, Althea finally released him and turned slowly.

The once pure demon aura now turned murky, her face expressionless. She looked at Samuel and asked,

"And those people?"

It was for protecting those foolish citizens that he battled against Shu’e, yet the ones he protected turned against him.

She would not spare Shu’e, nor would she spare those who harmed him.

Althea’s demonic power surged, and despite suffering injuries from battling three Ferocious Beasts, she seemed oblivious, her overdrawn Divine Soul exuding a faint red light.

Within the red light, traces of black energy flickered.

Seeing this, Scarlett and Samuel both sensed danger and moved to stop her,

"Althea! Calm yourself!"

Yet as they approached, Althea’s tail lashed out, sending them flying.

The massive fox tail, brimming with fierce demon energy, struck at them.

Samuel immediately shielded Scarlett, conjuring a barrier with Golden Light.

However, Althea, in her wrath, showed no restraint; the Golden Light Barrier shattered instantly, and Samuel and Scarlett were hurled several meters away.

Althea coldly watched the two, her snow-white hair trailing on the ground with an ominous gray aura rising. She appeared as though engulfed in a snowstorm.

Cold, terrifying.

Her seven remaining tails glowed more intensely red, exuding a violent aura as if to rend heaven and earth.

She said,

"Damian is dead. The Heavenly Origin he guarded doesn’t need to exist anymore."

They harmed him, so she would see the city, and the entire populace of Heavenly Origin, destroyed forever!
