"Scarlett, what’s wrong?"
Just as Stella Gibson asked, the scene before her blurred, and the group was suddenly pulled into a familiar domain.
The few were bewildered, and they caught a strong scent of blood at the tip of their noses.
Logically, Scarlett’s domain shouldn’t have blood.
Before they could react, Scarlett Jennings’ figure flickered, and in the blink of an eye, she was already on the grass a few meters away.
Scarlett Jennings was rigid, as if her blood was flowing backward.
The sudden fear and anxiety from a moment ago prompted her to unhesitatingly pull everyone into her domain.
But she never expected this situation.
Before her lay two people.
Magnolia Hearne was covered in blood, clearly displaying her demonic state, yet there wasn’t a single tail behind her, while beside her, Luca Jennings was lying asleep, impeccably clean.
The two lay there silently, with the red string originally tying only to Magnolia Hearne’s wrist now tightly binding both of their hands.
This was the red string Scarlett Jennings had tied to herself and the Five-Colored before entering the Otherworld, for safety’s sake.
The red string, refined with her fox fur and the ten-tailed power, was connected to her domain.
In times of need, it could lead them into her domain.
Initially, it was meant for her to escape danger in the Otherworld through her domain.
She never thought Magnolia would actually need to use it.
But the process clearly was difficult.
Scarlett Jennings gently lifted Magnolia Hearne from the ground, her hands trembled uncontrollably.
Whether during the two years Magnolia had stayed beside her as a mentor or the two-plus years since she brought her back from the Otherworld, Scarlett had never seen Magnolia suffer such severe injuries.
Feeling the evident damage to Magnolia’s divine soul in her arms, Scarlett closed her eyes, tears falling involuntarily.
Thankfully...
It’s only the divine soul that’s hurt.
As long as she’s alive.
Scarlett tried to ignore Magnolia’s nearly dissipated demonic power, holding onto her tightly, her body trembling slightly.
It was her fault.
She shouldn’t have listened to her and left her to clean up alone.
The Otherworld seemed devoid of danger, but in reality, Shu’e and the Heavenly Dao lurk everywhere.
Thinking of this, she saw wisps of black malice slowly rising from the blood on Magnolia’s body.
Scarlett watched silently, showing no expression, but the next moment, her domain suddenly burst with golden light.
Threads of golden light, accompanied by a sharp intent to kill, instantly shredded the black malice as it emerged.
For the first time, everyone could feel the oppressive intent to kill within Scarlett’s domain.
With a flick of her finger, all malice in the domain, including the sliver hidden in Luca’s dream, was completely annihilated.
Stella and the others finally realized what was happening, looking at the two on the ground in disbelief, tears welling up in their eyes,
"Scarlett..."
Nathan White quickly stepped forward, immediately casting magic, first stopping the bleeding on Magnolia, but he couldn’t restore her severed tails with his power.
Sadness flashed in his eyes, yet he poured all his spiritual power towards Magnolia without reservation.
Scarlett watched as Magnolia’s wounds quickly healed, silently laying her down after Nathan was done, then reaching out.
