Jayden had expected this and quickly said, “Commander, I didn’t believe it at first either. But we ran the strictest follow–up on consumption effects and comparative analysis of biological indicators. Dozens of people with different levels of mental power damage showed steady. continuous improvement after regularly eating these specific crops from that farm. For some mild to moderate cases, the symptoms almost disappeared. The research institute still can’t replicate its growth process in the lab, and they can’t fully identify the active substance. But the results… are real.”
There was a short silence on the other end.
Jayden could tell the man was finally taking him seriously.
“Who owns the farm? What’s their background?” The voice sounded more serious now.
Jayden tensed up. He knew this was the key point. “The owner’s name is Elizabeth Schofield. And she has another identity. She’s the daughter–in–law of First Military’s Commander Hewitt and the wife of General Hewitt.”
“What?!”
A sharp, shocked voice came from the other side, along with the sound of a chair scraping back.
The figure in the shadows sat up straight, making the blurry holographic image flicker.
“Trevor’s daughter–in–law?! That exiled criminal matched by genetics–Elizabeth Schofield? Didn’t the Hewitts just leave her to survive on her own on Planet A001? When did she start a farm that can treat mental power?!” The voice rose, full of disbelief and something deeper, as if a nerve had just been hit.
“Yes, Commander. It’s her. We still don’t know all the details, but the farm is under her name. The crops do come from there, and the effects have been confirmed by multiple sources,” Jayden said carefully, his heart pounding because of the man’s intense reaction.
He realized the information he had just dropped had hit a nerve. He must’ve stumbled onto a secret he hadn’t known.
The line fell into an even longer silence.
But this time, the silence felt different. Jayden could almost hear some suppressed and violent emotion howling soundlessly.

Chapter 254 Our Whole Plan Failed
After more than ten seconds, the voice spoke again. It had completely lost its earlier indifference and superiority.

Now it carried a mix of shock, anger, and cold calculation. Every word sounded like it was. forced out through clenched teeth. “Are you sure? The effects… are really as you said? Not exaggerated?”
“Commander. I guarantee it with the reputation of Seafarm Group and my own name. The evidence and feedback are very clear. We still need more long–term data and full research reports, but we are over 90% sure that it works,” Jayden answered firmly.
He knew he couldn’t hesitate at all right now.
No answer.
Another long silence.
This time, Jayden could faintly hear heavy, controlled breathing on the other end, along with the slight sound of something being gripped tightly.
Suddenly…
Bang! Crash!
A loud, dull noise burst through the communicator, followed by the sharp sound of things being knocked over and shattered.
The holographic image shook violently, then went black. The call had been cut off.
Jayden stood there, holding the communicator, frozen. Cold sweat formed on his forehead.
The man’s sudden anger and loss of control were far beyond what he expected.
This wasn’t just jealousy or shock after hearing that the Hewitts‘ daughter–in–law had something so valuable. It felt more like a meltdown because a plan had been completely derailed by this unexpected curveball.
In a classified operations meeting room at Fifth Military.
The heavy alloy doors were shut tight, and the soundproof barrier was fully activated.
The room was a iness. A heavy metal meeting table had a huge dent in it from a kick. Several fine ceramic cups were shattered, with tea splashed everywhere.
