Chapter 566 Chaos in the Pell
Chapter 566 Chaos in the Pen
The sound spread across the open field like a rock thrown into still water.
Every Cluckoo Chicken on the field froze at the same moment.

The ones pecking at the ground lifted their heads. The ones taking dust baths shook the sand from their feathers. The ones walking along the fence stopped in their tracks.
Almost at the same time, every Cluckoo Chicken turned to look at the golden-brown male with its feathers puffed up.
Something invisible filled the air, tightening fast.
Then everything exploded into chaos.
The golden-brown chicken jumped off the perch. It spread its wings, stretched out its neck, and charged straight toward the nearest fence at a speed that was nothing like its usual slow walk.
Right outside that fence stood Ronald, writing down data.
Right behind it, three or four other Cluckoo Chickens about the same size let out the same sharp cry. They flapped their wings wildly and slammed themselves toward the fence like they had gone crazy.
In just a few seconds, the quiet pen turned into complete chaos. Screeches, beating wings, and the dull thuds of bodies hitting the fence filled the air all at once. The whole place erupted into a frantic frenzy.
The people on the farm reacted so fast that everyone from the military was shocked.
The farm workers near the pen dropped their tools the instant they heard the first strange cry.
They didn’t run away.
They ran straight toward the danger.
Two young male workers ran toward the older people, women, and children. They quickly guided the elderly workers and the two children into the nearest building.
Several other strong young men and women grabbed the long-handled pitchforks and thick wooden boards leaning against the wall and rushed to the outside of the pen.
n only a few moments, they formed a human wall between the crazed Cluckoo Chickens smashing into the fence and the area where the elderly and children were gathered
A young woman who looked no older than eighteen or nineteen stood at the very front of the line, gripping a wooden pitchfork.
Her hands shook a little, but she didn’t take a single step back.
Behind her stood several elderly people, holding the children tightly in their arms
She gritted her teeth and stared at the Cluckoo Chickens that kept crashing into the fence. Under her breath, she repeated the same words over and over. “Don’t come over… Don’t come over…”
The whole evacuation happened without panic. No one screamed. No one shoved or trampled anyone.

Chapter 566 Chaos in the Per
Everyone moved as if they had practiced this emergency countless times before. Everyone knew exactly what to do.
Watching from a distance, Evander’s eyes flickered with the faintest hint of surprise.
He had seen countless emergency drills in the military, and he had seen soldiers react under real enemy fire.

Yet the people in front of him–a group of common farmers who grew crops and raised chickens-showed a level of teamwork and discipline that would have fit right into any basic army unit.
But he didn’t have time to think about it. The situation was getting worse by the second.
The golden-brown male had hurt itself by slamming into the fence. Its feathers were a mess, and a deep sut on its forehead bled down over one eye, making it look even more fierce.
It stepped back a few paces, breathing hard. Its bloodshot eyes swept wildly across the crowd, searching for its next target.
The other Cluckoo Chickens grew even more violent under its influence. A few of them had already started attacking each other. The pen was only moments away from falling completely out of control.
Just then, Elizabeth walked out of the house.
