After the sixth round of lightning, the storm in the Tiny World began to fade, and Thor’s body, still crackling with energy, began to change.
The bright green and gold of his scales shifted to more of a deep emerald and platinum, while his size expanded even further.
Karl understood that a Behemoth should live up to the name, but at this point, Thor was becoming absolutely overwhelming in size for any sort of living being. Not even the greatest of Sea Creatures could match up to that sort of bulk.
If he couldn’t transform, it would simply be untenable to keep him around, there wasn’t enough food in even a place like this to sustain that much mass.
Thor thought that was an amusing idea. Having to actually eat enough for his size. The Impenetrable Bulwark Behemoth fed mostly off energy, and with the Immortal Realm mana that suffused the Tiny World, he mostly ate because it tasted good, not because he needed the nutrients.
But now, he had other things to celebrate.
His Innate skills had advanced when he reached the Immortal Rank, and they had become a more effective version of their base forms.
For example, [Unobtrusive Behemoth] now allowed him to specify his size up to fifty times smaller than his original form, instead of ten.
The [Blockade] skill for creating a wall of ice or lightning no longer created 50 cubic metres per Rank of the Caster. Now, it created a flat five thousand cubic metres of ice or lightning maximum.
For controlling the battlefield, that would be absolutely amazing.
But that was common to many higher rank skills. Remi’s [Thousand Year Flood] had gone to a billion litres per minute, and could theoretically cover a square kilometre in a metre of water in a single minute.
Unfortunately, she hadn’t had an opportunity to test it out yet.
It wasn’t a damaging spell, and they hadn’t found anywhere that they wanted to flood on that level.
However, Remi had high hopes for the spell.
It should increase by ten times again when she reached the beginning of Void Stage, and that would make it a truly impressive flood, with as much coverage range as her usual use of the [Thunderstorm] spell, which dumped much less rain on people.
Putting a metre of water in an entire dungeon instance would make things so much more fun for her, as a Naga.
In the water, only Leo was likely to be even close to as fast as she was.
Leo thought that was a wonderful idea. They could make all the dungeons a shallow sea, and he could swim around, letting the water splash on his flippers.
It could be problematic for the rest of the team, though.
Thor immediately shrunk his size back down once his advancement was finished, and then crouched so that Tessa could get up on his back.
He had returned himself to Cerro sized, just under three metres tall and six metres long, plus his thick tail. But that was perfect for Tessa to ride into battle. She might be refraining from combat for now, while she was pregnant, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to keep training to prevent her skills from getting rusty.
"Well, it looks like Thor got just the skills that he needed.
He might not look quite like the Cerro that he was born as, but he’s the right size again, and he can have his Knight." Dana joked with a smile on her face for Tessa’s excitement.
For the longest time, Thor had been too large, even when he reduced his size, to properly ride into combat.
