By the time that the chaos around the hatchery began to die down, Rue already had weapons for the entire Immortal core team ready.
None of them were quite as inspired as the one that she had made for the Dana Mage, but each of them had a particular power that would make the user incredibly overpowered. Now, they were just waiting on Karl to get back so that he could do the upgrade from Epic to Peerless, and see if the weapons would be truly outstanding.
It wasn’t a long wait, Karl had brought the entire team back, including the members from the New Home Merchant Clan, so that they could all come and greet the new members in waiting of the Darklight Host.
The Tiny world was possibly the Guild’s worst kept secret at this point, with a Divine Dragon in it, and so many of the Clan Elders visiting, so Karl didn’t see any reason to keep them out.
He would just keep the entrance private.
That was the best that he could hope for at this point, as there were too many people who knew it existed to keep it completely a secret.
Mostly, they didn’t care, as it was considered something like a holding area for the mortals that were aligned with Karl. But it was also a prep area and hatchery for baby dragons, which might bring the attention of more than one dragon god eventually.
But that was an issue for later, when the little dragons had grown a bit more.
For now, the Elders and the Pack members were enthralled by the sight of a tiny red dragon marshalling her four newborn behemoth brothers into childish battle drills, that the behemoths were certain were a game.
The Disciple of War took them much more seriously than the others, but somehow, the game kept ending with her under a pile of behemoths, who didn’t want to nap without the whole group together.
Eventually, Seraphina gave up and just lay down for a nap under a pile of her brothers, and the group watching her antics silently cycled through so that everyone could get a chance to see the newborns and give Tessa their best wishes.
They even brought gifts.
Random things that they had in their pockets or storage, but still valuable enough for a newly ascended Immortal to treasure them.
The kids had played hard, trying to follow Seraphina’s directions, and they were happily snoring away, making little happy Cerro bugle noises as they slept.
"Absolutely adorable. And such a powerful group of hatchlings. Each of them born to be peak Immortals, with the potential for more. Not a single one that is going to struggle to grow to their full strength.
Perhaps there is merit to the mingling of the bloodlines, even if the dragon gods would get upset about it happening too often."
"Why would they get upset? Dragon blood usually breeds true, doesn’t it?" One of the Blackwood Pack Elders asked.
"Because it becomes unpredictable. If a red and black dragon mate, the kids will be red or black. But if one of those children mates with a green, there is a chance that it will be one of the three.
It’s rare that you get an offshoot like the Disciple of War, but she’s more like the Divine Lightning Dragons, in that she’s an evolution of the base form for the Immortal World, and still has a chance to have red dragon offspring, but no others." Elder Kushal explained.
"Oh, I see the issue. If there is mixing, they don’t know where their children are going to grow up, and they don’t know if that environment is suitable. Fortunately, we have a sanctioned orphanage with a leadership group assigned by the Church.
