"This might be the most surreal experience that I’ve ever had inside a dungeon. The badger leading the way with her magic wand definitely sets the mood," the healer from the Elven group laughed.

"It’s a jolly experience. Today, we get to adventure, pick on new types of bosses, see what happens when a boss is just barely able to cling to Supreme Rank with buffs, and then at the end we get prizes." Cara agreed.

"That’s a great way to look at it. However, the last boss is going to be a bit of an issue. It’s always stronger than the others, and if there is going to be a Supreme-Ranked boss, it’s always the first to advance.

So, I don’t think that you’ll be able to burn down its rank like that again. We’ll have to grind this out the hard way, ten on one against a boss who takes a hundred times more damage than normal."

Karl shrugged. "Well, we can do that. It just takes time. With our friendly neighbourhood Spirit Bears here, we can tank all the physical damage that he throws at us, and then I’ve got barriers for everything else.

Just try to stand behind the bears when he does a larger skill so that they absorb the majority of it, and it doesn’t hit the whole group."

"Alright. We will try that. The boss doesn’t do all physical damage, he can use fire and lightning skills as well. So, you’re not going to be able to completely ignore him.

However, none of those are true area of effect skills, only wide area directional attacks.

If we can get the positioning right, the bears really should be able to block most of the damage, and we will keep them at full health for the fight."

The bears weren’t sure that they liked this plan that ended with them getting beat up, but the boss needed to be defeated, and they were big. So, they would go along with it and not make Karl order them.
