Chapter 1970: Now Everyone Knows

The leaders of the Valalan League turned to Karl for answers.

"Lady Rue has joined the Darklight Host, and through a fortunate turn of events, we were able to help her learn the Divine Blacksmithing skill. She’s got a natural talent for design and artistry, and the items she makes have the most wonderful ornamentation."

Rue smiled, and took out a half finished sword that was still missing its gems, with only one side of the ornamentation done, and none of the runes.

"That is actually quite lovely. Did you have someone in mind when you made it?" Sam, their new Doppelgänger Archmage, asked.

"I thought that there might be a few artistically inclined Immortals here who might appreciate a weapon with a bit more style. I know that most of the Supreme Guild Leaders are men, but only about two thirds. That still leaves a great number who might appreciate fashion."

The Doppelgänger laughed at the thought, and Karl briefly wondered whether Sam was male or female.

Given their features, it could go either way.

But Sam thought that it was hilarious to make people guess which one their form was, as there wasn’t really much to do outside of combat on many of the battlefields.

Then, when people got fairly certain what the answer was, the form would be changed.

That was also why the name "Sam" was picked. It was a name that could go either way, and kept the game going without having to pretend to be someone different.

Currently, only the face was different from Oak’s physical form, as the Doppelgänger was waiting to see how long it would take the Green Dragon to realize that they were not just the same size but physically identical in all but facial features.

Even their head size and shape were the same.

The representatives of the Valalan League looked more than a little dismayed at the notion that Rue was going to be turning out Supreme Ranked weapons to build her wealth and influence in a new Guild that was already too much of a threat for them to deal with.

But what could they do about it?

Accept their loss gracefully, and try not to get themselves blacklisted from the only decent crafting Guild on the continent, that was what.

"When might the first of these weapons be available? Are you still waiting on materials to finish?" One of the men asked carefully.

"We’ve got enough for the first batch. But we do take them in payment for the goods, so we shouldn’t run out too quickly. Karl, when do you think that we should set up the first sale? Two months, so that news has time to spread before we start gathering visitors?

I suppose that the Clans around us would likely appreciate the advance warning as well.

Both to shop, and so that they know there might be an influx of wandering Elders in the region in the coming months. That sort of thing can be a touchy subject for some of the Clans."

That was something that everyone in the room understood. The representatives of the Valalan League had used a relic to come directly here, so that they didn’t have to cross over so many territories and cause an uproar with their travels.

The last incident was already an embarrassment, even if they had gained some new territory with it, as they had absorbed the Divine Fist Devils’ branch.
