The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 930

Call him hubby again?

He had already tormented her in the pharmacy. Why was he still teasing her now?

Lilly refused. “I’m not going to say it!”

Jason didn’t seem fazed. He just looked at her. “Then take the pill.”

“I’m not taking it! You can forget about it!” Lilly snapped.

Jason didn’t say anything more. He sat back in his seat and started driving.

After a while, Lilly noticed something was wrong. This wasn’t the way to her house. Where was he taking her?

“Mr. Farill, where are you going?” Lilly asked.

Jason replied, “Lilly, since you won’t take the pill, I have no choice but to take you to my office. I have a meeting to get to soon.”

To his office?

“I don’t want to go!”

“Lilly, if you don’t take the pill, there’s a chance you could be pregnant. In that case, I’ll have to keep you by my side at all times. The moment I find out you’re pregnant, I’ll…”

Lilly’s heart lurched, and a wave of guilt washed over her. “You’ll what? Will you make me get rid of the baby?”

Lilly was filled with trepidation as she asked the question. She was secretly pregnant with Jason’s child. She could hide it for now, but he would find out sooner or later, once the baby was born.

She needed to know how he felt about children.

Jason raised an eyebrow, not answering her directly. Instead, he asked, “What do you think I would do?”

Lilly was speechless.

How was she supposed to know what he would do? If she knew, she wouldn’t be so terrified.

Lilly pressed, “Mr. Farill, please answer the question. If I were pregnant, what would you do?”

Jason’s lips curved. “You want to know?”

Lilly nodded. “Yes, I want to know.”

Lilly remained seated. “I don’t want to go in.”

“Why not? It’s not like you haven’t been here before.”

“Mr. Farill, are you trying to humiliate me? We’ve already broken up. What right do I have to walk into your company? You have a new girlfriend now. We shouldn’t be doing this.”

Jason leaned down and simply lifted her out of the passenger seat.

Lilly stiffened. “Let go of me!”

Jason just smiled. “Lilly, if you won’t get out on your own, then I’ll just have to carry you. Let’s go.”

Jason carried Lilly right into the building.

She struggled in his arms. “Jason, put me down! What are you doing!”

Lilly’s heart hammered in her chest. She had no idea what he was thinking. When they were dating, this would have felt sweet. But now, with her ambiguous status, it was just deeply embarrassing.

Lilly’s struggles were useless. Jason’s powerful arms held her securely as they walked into the company. Every employee they passed immediately snapped their heads in their direction, staring.
