The Girl They Ignored Returned as the Woman Seven Men Would Die For novel Chapter 117

Seraphina Sutton was, after all, just a pretty face with zero industry clout.

Her desperate pleading carried absolutely no weight with Quinn Foster.

Mrs. Penelope Prescott had been knocked down out of nowhere. If Quinn didn't take a firm stand now, offending Madam Chair could ruin her entire directorial career.

"Go, get out!" Quinn waved her off ruthlessly. "When club security comes to drag you out, it's only going to be more humiliating for you!"

Left with no other choice, Seraphina bit her lip. Tears welling in her eyes, she lowered her head in a deep, apologetic nod, her heart filled with grief and indignation.

"I am so sorry, Mrs. Prescott!"

Having said her piece, she felt utterly defeated. Gathering the hem of her dress, she turned away in despair.

As people aged, their hearts tended to soften.

Penelope knew it was just a young girl who had bumped into her. Hearing such a sincere apology, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of sympathy.

She lifted her head, wanting to see what the girl looked like, but all she caught was Seraphina's dejected back.

Yet, it was this exact view that sent a clear flash of shock through Penelope's eyes.

Almost forgetting the throbbing in her leg, she instinctively tried to stand, only to collapse back into her chair with a sharp gasp of pain.

Noticing her sudden distress, Isla Jace and Quinn, who were closest, rushed to her side.

"Madam Chair, what's wrong?"

"Take it easy!"

Trembling, Penelope raised a hand, pointing through the pain in Seraphina's direction.

"That girl... tell her to wait!"

Quinn froze, unable to guess Penelope's intentions, but she raised her voice and called out anyway.

"Hey! Mr. Sterling's friend! Hold on a second!"

Seraphina was walking slowly in her misery. Hearing the shout, she turned around in disbelief and pointed to herself.

"Are you... calling me?"

Quinn gave a reluctant nod. "Come here. Mrs. Prescott wants to speak with you!"
