The Girl They Ignored Returned as the Woman Seven Men Would Die For novel Chapter 130

His mind uncontrollably flashed back to the night of the estate banquet.

Mika had stood there with red eyes, looking at Seraphina in disappointment, and then... looking at him.

His heart felt as if it had been unexpectedly pricked by a fine needle.

By maintaining a surface-level friendship with Seraphina for the sake of the Lancaster and Jace family connections, wasn't he effectively betraying Mika?

He had explicitly told her he would treat her like a sister.

Yet now, weighing the broader interests, he hadn't deliberately severed the ties between their families just for her.

If Mika found out, wouldn't she... be disappointed too?

Lucas zoomed in on Mika's photo again, his gaze lingering on the spa's logo for a moment.

The next second, he dialed his assistant, Xavier Ashford.

"Hello, Mr. Lancaster? I'm currently in Oceanport accompanying your mother to a meeting. Do you need something?" Xavier's deliberately hushed voice came through the receiver.

"Is Luminaire one of my mom's properties?"

"Ah, yes, it's the premium spa chain she built up years ago. They have branches in all the top-tier cities, specializing in high-end treatments. Why do you ask, sir?"

Lucas rubbed the steering wheel awkwardly with his thumb, keeping his tone casual.

"There should be a mother and daughter getting treatments at the West District Luminaire right now.

The mom's last name is Charles, the daughter's is Miller. Give them each a membership card."

"Huh?" Xavier was confused at first, but then remembered his boss had previously ordered him to delete some forum posts for a girl named Miller. He instantly caught on.

"Understood, sir! I'll arrange it right away!"

Lucas hung up and casually gave Mika's post a like.

Just then, Quincy Lowen texted him to play a few rounds of snooker, so Lucas drove over.
