The Girl They Ignored Returned as the Woman Seven Men Would Die For novel Chapter 141

For their second stop, Mika took Damaris to a hair salon.

At first, Damaris was quite happy about it.

She loved getting her hair done. She had gotten her big wavy curls styled at a salon in Jasper Falls, and apart from the slightly dry ends, she was always very satisfied with them.

As the two walked in, a stylist greeted them.

"Hello ladies, just a wash or are we doing a cut and style?"

Mika stepped aside, gesturing to Damaris behind her. "Cut my mom's hair short and straighten it."

Damaris had been fantasizing about getting a beautiful new style that would make her even prettier.

Hearing Mika's instructions, her eyes went wide and she took two steps back.

"Cut it short?! No way! My hair is gorgeous! Most stylists can't even get these curls right!"

The stylist offered an awkward smile. Mika just crossed her arms and looked at her calmly. "Out of all those housekeepers we saw earlier, did a single one of them have big bouncy curls?"

Damaris fell silent, struggled internally, and finally compromised.

No matter what, she was never going back to Caleb's ungrateful household!

Soon, the stylist led Damaris to the back for a wash.

After the wash, Damaris sat in front of the mirror.

Watching the stylist pick up the scissors, her heart skipped a beat. She dodged his hand and turned her head in panic.

"Are you good at this? I'm not going to look awful, am I?"

The stylist smiled reassuringly. "Your daughter picked out a new style for you. It's going to suit you perfectly, don't worry."

Hearing that it was Mika's choice settled her nerves slightly.

She clenched her hands tightly under the cape, staring at her reflection with the expression of a woman facing the guillotine.

"Do it!"
