The Girl They Ignored Returned as the Woman Seven Men Would Die For novel Chapter 41

Takeout again! She didn't want to eat takeout at all!

A flash of inexplicable anger surged in Seraphina Sutton's chest, but she kept a gentle, shallow smile on her face. "That's okay. Have a great time."

"Will do," Xanthe Zimmerman said with a smile as she walked out of the dorm. The moment she closed the door behind her, the smile vanished from her face.

She looked down and texted Lily Davenport.

[She actually wanted me to bring her food. Does she think I'm Mika? Like I'm going to coddle a spoiled princess?]

Lily checked her phone, smirked, and continued applying her eyeliner in the mirror.

Left with no other choice, Seraphina turned to Lily.

"Lily, my ankle is really bothering me. If I order some delivery right now, could you help me bring it up later?"

"Delivery is going to take at least half an hour, right?" Lily suddenly turned to ask her.

"Ah, yeah," Seraphina nodded, not understanding the problem. "Why?"

Lily applied her final coat of lipstick, flashing a bright smile as she walked to the door.

"Sorry, Seraphina. I have to head out right now. You'll have to ask someone else for help."

With that, she slipped into her flats and walked out without looking back.

The moment she stepped out, Lily casually replied to Xanthe's text.

[She just told me she was ordering food and asked me to bring it up for her.]

[Please, we're in room 702. That's the seventh floor! Other than Mika, who would willingly run up and down the stairs to run errands for her?]

Being rejected three times in a row thoroughly provoked Seraphina's pride.

She refused to believe that she would starve without them.

She stood up and hobbled out of the dorm on her tiptoes.

When it was time to go down the stairs, she held onto the handrail and descended slowly, realizing it wasn't impossible for her to walk after all.

On the stairs, she ran into several girls she knew. They greeted her with smiles and asked with concern what had happened to her foot.

Seraphina responded to each of them gently. But the moment they walked away, her beautiful face darkened.

There was a specific reason she had chosen to be friends with Mika Miller in the first place.

Kindness came in many forms.
