He borrowed a bicycle from his roommate and rode it to the girls' dorm with complicated feelings.

"Seraphina." He stopped the bike right in front of her.

But what came out of her mouth was, "What happened to your arm? Are you sure... riding a bike is okay?"

"It's fine. I can ride perfectly steady with one hand."

Completely missing Seraphina's resistance, Jude turned to glance at the passenger seat on the back, a hint of smugness in his smile.

"Hop on."

Seraphina pressed her lips together and carefully perched herself onto the back of Jude's bike, though her expression darkened.

It took about half an hour to get from the girls' dorms to the campus gates.

But with her ankle like this, she had no idea how long it would take her to walk to a restaurant, leaving her no choice but to ask Jude for help.

It saved her the effort, but for some reason, she felt utterly humiliated.

Once they arrived at a diner near the campus entrance, Seraphina ordered a few dishes and smiled as she invited Jude to eat with her.

"You've gone out of your way for me both yesterday and today. This meal is on me, so please don't be polite."

Jude had already eaten lunch, but he couldn't bear to reject Seraphina's kindness, so he picked up his fork.

They chatted casually for a bit until Jude finally couldn't hold it in anymore. He asked the question that had been burning in his chest all night.

"That guy who came to see you yesterday... is he your boyfriend?"
