The Girl They Ignored Returned as the Woman Seven Men Would Die For novel Chapter 47

It all happened in a flash.

By the time the students in the rehab room registered what was happening, some scrambled to hold Seraphina back, while the rest immediately formed a protective wall in front of Mika.

Mika's eyes widened in shock. Clutching her burning left cheek, she stared blankly at Seraphina as if completely unable to process what had just occurred.

"Seraphina... what's wrong?"

Seraphina pulled out her phone and shoved the trending forum post into everyone's faces.

"I'm asking you, what is this?!"

Even though she was the one who threw the slap, her slender frame was trembling uncontrollably. Her eyes were red, and her beautiful face was a picture of pure devastation.

She looked more like the victim who had just been bullied.

Mika took the phone in a daze. After scrolling through it for a few minutes, she looked up, utterly horrified, her own eyes instantly welling with tears.

"I had absolutely no idea this post existed... Is this why you just slapped me in front of everyone?"

"Isn't this enough?!" Seraphina cried, looking around at the surrounding students with bloodshot eyes.

"Aren't you playing the saint in here while twisting everything I did to them? Otherwise, how would anyone know the private details between the three of us?!"

At this point, Seraphina audibly choked on a sob. Two streams of tears slid flawlessly down her cheeks, making her look agonizingly beautiful in her sorrow.

"Mika, is this really how you see me?"

Watching Seraphina break down, the surrounding students, who had initially wanted to defend Mika, suddenly felt their resolve waver. Faced with Seraphina's tearful fragility, their tones instinctively softened.

"Seraphina, Mika has never said a single bad word about you to us. Even if you're upset, you can't just storm in here and hit someone..."

"Exactly. You're the one who got inappropriately close with Jude. How can you blame Mika for that?"

"How was I inappropriately close?"

Seraphina's hand paused midway through wiping her tears, her eyes flashing with a deeper, wounded disbelief.
