The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 333

“Mr. Larkin, what are you doing?”

Reginald hurriedly came over.

With a frosty look, Finnegan caused Reginald to stop in his tracks, leaving him with a suffocating sensation as if he had been submerged in a freezing cellar. “Get out of here. Don't you understand?”

“Mr. Larkin, Winona—”

Shaun and the others didn't give Reginald any chance to speak. They came over, took him by the arm, and led him out of the office. Hailey was the last one out, closing the office door behind her.

Winona covered her face, her eyes filled with resentment. “Why did you hit me?”

In response to Winona, Finnegan delivered yet another slap.

The slap was so forceful that it sent Winona tumbling to the ground. Her skirt had almost rolled up to her waist.

Tears welled up in Winona's eyes as she rose. “Why did you hit me?”

Finnegan walked up to her, and without a shred of mercy or tenderness, he swung his hand and slapped her again.

After tumbling a few times on the ground, Winona didn't get up. Instead, she started crying.

“You b*stard!”

She had lived for thirty years, yet not even her own parents had ever laid a finger on her.

Finnegan, on the other hand, had slapped her three times in a row.

Finnegan walked over and crouched down in front of her, lifting her chin and ignoring the anger in her eyes. “There's a certain charm about you that puts people at ease. But why did you do that?”

“I have no idea what you're talking about. Just kill me if you want!”

Winona's eyes sparkled as she brushed away Finnegan's hand.

With a cold laugh, Finnegan rose to his feet and turned around, walking toward the floor-to-ceiling window. “The news of Regi Group's change of ownership has not been spread. The Sable family remains the largest shareholder of Regi Group in public view, holding one hundred percent of the decision-making power. In such a situation, all the major shareholders are merely supporting roles, only thinking about trying their best to please the Sable family. They will not go against the instructions of the Sable family. But oddly enough, it happened today. The three main shareholders even insisted that I wait until around four o'clock. Do you really take me for a fool?”

Finnegan turned around and stared coldly at Winona.

He knew that all of this was the work of Winona behind the scenes. It would be normal for one or two shareholders to be late, but how could it be that all three of them would only arrive around four o'clock?

Wiping away her tears, Winona asserted, “I didn't!”

With a light sigh, Finnegan said, “It doesn't matter if you don't admit it as long as I'm sure about it. So, make a phone call and ensure they attend the board meeting promptly at two-thirty. Otherwise, they need not bother coming to the company in the future. They can just stay home and wait for their dividends!”

Winona stood up, her hand covering her beautiful face. “Grandpa tried contacting them, but he couldn't reach them.”

Furrowing his brows, Finnegan stood before her to face her. “This is the first time, and it will also be the last. In the future, never do something that harms both yourself and others!”

With that, Finnegan bent his knee and struck Winona's stomach.

The latter had not anticipated that Finnegan could be so ruthless toward the opposite gender.

Her eyes bulged out as she clutched her stomach and collapsed onto the ground. She was in such agony that she couldn't even let out a cry of pain.

Finnegan casually dusted his trousers as if he had just done something of little consequence.

After walking back to the desk, he sat down and propped his legs up on the desk. “I've never been one to show mercy, regardless of whether you're a woman or even a beauty. Take this as a warning!”

He turned and shouted to the people outside, “Come in!”

The office door swung open, and Shaun and the others walked in.

Reginald followed behind, and upon seeing Winona clutching her stomach on the ground, he quickly rushed over. “Winona, what's wrong? Mr. Larkin, why would you do this?”

If he were to go head to head with the three major shareholders, would the middle management controlled by those shareholders make life easy for him?

“Unfortunately, she is still too naive. Did she really think that the Sable family was the only one I was going to deal with today? She actually ended up giving me an excuse!”

Waving his hand to invite Hailey to sit down, Finnegan then composed a text message to send to Reynard: I need all the information on the three major shareholders of Regi Group!

Soon, it was half past four in the afternoon.

Before the three major shareholders arrived, Finnegan received a call from Bernice.

“Granny asked us to head over for dinner tonight. We need to get ready to leave. Are you at the clinic or somewhere else?”

Upon hearing this, Finnegan slapped his forehead. He had nearly forgotten that he was supposed to accompany Bernice to her grandmother's house that day.

However, he couldn't leave at the moment. “Darling, I'm currently treating a patient and it might take until six or seven. Can you wait?”

Bernice replied, “It takes two hours to drive to my grandmother's house in Capston. Leaving at six or seven definitely won't work. But if you have a patient to attend to, go ahead. I'll have my parents leave first, and I'll wait for you.”

“You don't need to wait for me. You and your parents go ahead first, lest your granny accuse you of being thoughtless. I'll come over later on my own.”

“That works too. But if you finish seeing your patients too late, you can set off early tomorrow morning. The intercity train only takes an hour. I will let my granny and my parents know.”

At that moment, the office door was pushed open, and Winona walked in with a stern expression on her face.

Finnegan said into the phone, “All right, let's leave it at that for now.”

Winona walked up to the desk, forcefully suppressing her anger toward Finnegan. “Mr. Channing and the others have arrived.”

Glancing at the time, Finnegan said, “I've been waiting for them for two hours. Have them wait for me for an hour!”
