The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 361

The steward thought he could escape by staying in the back, but he realized he couldn't avoid it after all.

“Commissary of the chairman!”

With no other choice, he steeled himself and approached Finnegan.

Finnegan lifted his leg and kicked him to the ground. “So now you admit that I am the commissary of the chairman? Weren't you just saying I was an imposter?”

The steward clutched his abdomen as he apologized, “Yes... I'm sorry. It was my mistake!”

He initially wanted to say it was Kieran's idea, but he knew that once he spoke, if Finnegan didn't kill him, Kieran certainly would.

And by not mentioning Kieran, perhaps he could still receive Kieran's protection.

Finnegan said coldly, “Do you think a single vague statement can easily deceive me?”

“Sir, it was—”

However, Finnegan did not give him a chance to quibble. He pointed at the Martial Arts Alliance disciples who were wailing on the ground. “No more excuses. Whether you were instigated by others or you were momentarily confused, you are responsible for the injuries of so many Martial Arts Alliance disciples. You must atone for your actions with your life!”

With a raise of his hand, a deadly intent coalesced.

The steward's face turned pale. “Sir, please have mercy on me. It was Mr. Marlowe's intention. He said you were an imposter and instructed me to eliminate you.”

Despite that, could Finnegan possibly let him off the hook?

With a strike of his palm, a surge of spiritual energy rushed into the steward's body, instantly shattering his heart.

As his eyes bulged out, he made no more sound.

Upon witnessing Finnegan's ruthless annihilation of the steward, the besieging Martial Arts Alliance disciples also began to grow tense.

We wouldn't be held accountable, would we?

Finnegan lowered his hand, casting a cold glance over them. “Does anyone still doubt my identity now?”

Thousands of Martial Arts Alliance disciples bowed their heads, daring not to utter a word.

With a cold snort, Finnegan called out, “Yadiel!”

Yadiel stepped forward. “Present!”

“Count them all.” Finnegan pointed at the disciples of the Martial Arts Alliance, his voice cold as he commanded, “From this day forward, all of you are to be expelled from the Martial Arts Alliance. You are no longer disciples of the Martial Arts Alliance!”

With just one sentence, thousands of Martial Arts Alliance disciples were to be expelled.

Isn't that too harsh?

“Sir, we were wrong!”

“We were merely following orders. You can't expel us all!”

“Obeying orders is a requirement of the Martial Arts Alliance. You cannot defy it!”

Finnegan didn't care at all about the pleas of these Martial Arts Alliance disciples. “The Martial Arts Alliance's South-North Badge represents the highest will of the chairman. After I presented the token, you couldn't discern its authenticity and only followed orders blindly. What use are you?”

He then turned his gaze to Corbin. “And you... You met me this morning and saw with your own eyes as I presented the Martial Arts Alliance's South-North Badge. Yet, you feigned ignorance and incited the members of the Martial Arts Alliance to attack me. Such behavior is tantamount to besieging the chairman of the association. You should be damned!”

Corbin's body shuddered. He wanted to speak in his defense.

The pain of a severed penis, coupled with several freshly broken ribs, left him without even the strength to speak.

Naturally, Jasper couldn't just stand by and watch Corbin die, even if he was already a broken man. “Mr. Larkin, this is a misunderstanding!” he exclaimed.

“Misunderstanding? Just wait. I'll tell you whether it was a misunderstanding or not!”

In response with a cold voice, Finnegan gripped Corbin's neck and hoisted him up.

Following this, he fiercely swung toward Doom Star. “Slash!”

Doom Star's gaze hardened, and the saber in his hand swiftly followed suit.

Jasper's eyes nearly burst out. “No!”

Splat!

Isn't that so?

Jasper rushed toward Josef and exclaimed, “Aren't you going to do anything?”

With an impassive face, Josef replied, “Your son feigned drunkenness and refused to acknowledge Mr. Larkin. You arrived more than twenty minutes ago but did not intervene. Not only will I not interfere, but I will also stand as a witness to Mr. Larkin's actions!”

He paused before adding, “To testify that you and your father deliberately concealed the identity of Mr. Larkin from everyone, undermining the authority of the chairman's commissary and inciting internal strife!”

Upon hearing these words, Jasper was greatly shaken.

Suddenly, it dawned on him. “Josef, I understand now. Today, you deliberately set a trap for my father and me, intentionally...”

“Go to hell and repent!”

With a swift movement, Finnegan closed in, his hand clutching the man's throat, rendering the latter unable to utter another word. “If there is a next life,” he said, “remember my words. When you scheme against others, you may very well be the one being schemed against!”

With a swift motion, he hoisted Jasper's body and flung it toward Duncan. “Jasper has committed heinous acts, deliberately inciting conflict within the Martial Arts Alliance, causing hundreds of our brethren to be gravely injured. He must be executed!”

With a flick, Duncan sent the cutlass soaring high, its cold gleam slashing down.

Jasper's pupils dilated. “No!”

However, Duncan showed no mercy. With a single stroke of his sword, he sent Jasper to meet the same fate as Corbin.

Subsequently, Finnegan returned to the building and emerged carrying Bernice, who had fainted.

Josef cast a complex glance at the separated bodies of father and son. With a quiet sigh, he asked, “What's next?”

Finnegan responded coldly, “I don't want a whisper of this getting out. Moreover, where is Kieran?”

Everyone who deserved to die was dead, and of course, Finnegan would not let Kieran off the hook.

Would the situation have worsened if he hadn't instructed the steward to take action?

After making a call, Josef said, “He was supposed to come here initially, but he turned back halfway.”

Finnegan sneered, “Think you can play dumb and get away with it? Not a chance! Issue my orders; seal off Kieran's residence. No one is to enter or leave! Those who dare to defy the order shall be shown no mercy!”
