The Healing Avenger novel Chapter 429

“Alisha, you wicked enchantress, get out and find someone to repair Dragon Bay No. 1 Villa!”

Upon returning to Dragon Bay, Finnegan took up residence in the Langdon residence. After having breakfast, he found a room to soak in a bath before getting a good rest.

However, halfway through, Alisha walked in.

Alisha playfully approached and sat beside the tub. “I'm here to help you scrub your back and serve you! Besides, the typhoon will take two days to pass, and I can't find anyone to repair it now!”

“You should leave.”

He was peacefully soaking in the bath when unexpectedly, she barged in.

Finnegan didn't think he had such great self-control, but Alisha clearly had no intention of leaving

She even took a towel and started to scrub Finnegan's back directly. “I won't leave. I want you to get used to having me serve you in advance, so you'll know how good it is.”

Finnegan gave a bitter smile. “So everything I told you last night was in vain, wasn't it? I...”

Just then, a phone call interrupted them from outside.

Alisha stood up. “I'll get your phone.”

The phone was brought in quickly, and it was an unfamiliar number. “Who is this? Why isn't the location displayed for this number?”

Upon glancing at the number, Finnegan immediately knew who was calling.

Sitting up straight, he wiped his hands and took the phone. “Close the door and get out!”

Seeing Finnegan suddenly become serious, Alisha grunted in acknowledgment. She closed the door and stepped out.

Only then did Finnegan answer the call and put it to his ear.

After picking up, Finnegan's brows furrowed. “Are you sure?”

A deep, respectful voice came through the phone. “I've been watching her for a long time. She stopped when the typhoon intensified. It's certain.”

“I understand. Don't keep staring, lest we get noticed.”

After the call ended, Finnegan's brows were knotted tightly.

After a moment, he called Reynard, “Help me investigate Tatiana Howell, Winterthorn. Don't ask why. I need her details within ten minutes.”

Finnegan was no longer in the mood to soak in the bath.

He got up and rinsed off the suds, then slipped into his shorts. Just then, his phone chimed twice.

He had received a message from Reynard.

Reading it, Finnegan put on a solemn expression. “I see. Winterthorn can't be underestimated!”

Following that, Finnegan found a number and made a call.

Once the other end picked up, Finnegan said in a deep voice, “Come to Jadeborough as fast as possible!”

A stunned voice came through the phone. “Now? There's a typhoon in the south!”

“Take the high-speed train then, and get here as fast as you can. Otherwise, be prepared to collect my remains!”

After ending the call, Finnegan rubbed his temples.

A sleepless night, coupled with the recent “bad news,” made his head ache.

But there was nothing he could do about it now. Finnegan had no choice but to dispel his gloomy mood and step out of the bathroom.

To his surprise, Alisha was lying on the bed.

He furrowed his brows. “You...”

After a pause, he changed his mind. “Forget it, give me a massage, I have a headache!”

Alisha's eyes lit up. “Sure!”

Meanwhile, back at Durbaine, an elderly man boarded the helicopter urgently, simultaneously issuing commands, “Tell Sparaville to be prepared. As soon as the helicopter lands, arrange for my immediate departure to Jadeborough.”

Just after four in the afternoon, the ringing of his phone roused Finnegan from his sleep.

In a daze, he opened his eyes. As he instinctively reached out for his phone, he felt as though something was weighing him down, pressing against his body.

When he realized who it was, his mouth twitched fiercely. “Vixen, what are you doing?”

Alisha lazily opened her eyes, her red lips curling slightly. “I massaged you, and you fell asleep. I was tired too, so I slept next to you. How about it? Isn't it nice to sleep with me holding you?”

Had it been earlier, Finnegan would not have had any doubts.

But given the recent misfortune that befell the Zimmerman family, it would have been expected that Bruce wouldn't have been in the mood to discuss such matters for several months.

Bernice said, “That's exactly what Grandpa said. Why aren't you happy? Don't you want to marry me anymore?”

Inwardly surprised, Finnegan responded with a smile, “Who said that? I can't wait to marry you and bring you home. You have no idea how boring it was to sleep alone while you were away!”

When Finnegan said these words, his face turned a shade of red.

Earlier today, he had felt somewhat guilty for having taken a nap in Alisha's arms.

Fortunately, Bernice didn't overthink it. “When will Old Mr. Wahlstrom leave?”

Finnegan replied, “Old Mr. Wahlstrom has already moved out of Dragon Bay. However, he felt a bit embarrassed after staying here for a few days and offered to help me refurbish the place. So, you might not be able to return for a few days.”

“Renovations? Then where will you be staying?”

Finnegan replied, “They all live on the first floor, so only the first floor was renovated. I can live on the second floor!”

Unaware of the attack on Dragon Bay No. 1 Villa, Bernice said, “Sure, I'll come back when things have settled down.”

After conversing for a while, the two of them finally ended the call.

Finnegan stretched lazily as he left his room and descended to the first floor.

Alisha was sitting on the sofa, her legs curled up beneath her. She was completely unconcerned about the occasional exposure. “Can't you be a little more reserved?”

“What's there to fear?” Alisha said with a smirk, “I usually wear a bikini when I go to the beach. By comparison, I'm being quite conservative now.”

Finnegan imagined how Alisha would look if she wore a bikini.

He coughed lightly and said, “There's no need to tell me all this, I'm not interested.”

Alisha winked at him. “Are you really not interested? Then why did you look up when you woke up this afternoon?”

After asking, Finnegan did not respond but instead walked toward the door.

“What are you going out for? It's quite windy!”
