Chapter 661
Bella sat quietly in the chair whille patiently waiting for Wendy, a llipop clutched tightly in her small hand.
Suddenly, two men dressed in black appeared out of nowhere. One of them quickly covered Bella’s mouth with his hand and scooped her up without warning.
Bella’s eyes widened in terror. She wanted to scream and call out for Wendy, but with her mouth covered, not a single sound escaped.
The lollipop slipped from her hand with a soft thud and fell to the floor.
The two men carried Bella away swiftly.
Meanwhile, Wendy was still on the phone with Samuel. “What happened?”
“I got rear–ended on the way to the airport. It was a minor accident, but I might be a little late,” Samuel explained.
Wendy’s tense heart finally eased. So it was just a fender–bender she had feared something worse.
“You’re okay, and that’s what matters. I’ll hold the plane for you. Take care of things and come straight here.”
“Got it.”
They hung up. Wendy turned back to Bella. “Bella, Daddy Sam-”
But her words caught in her throat. The chair where Bella had been sitting was empty.
Wendy’s pupils shrank with panic. “Bella? Bella!”
She called out loudly, scanning the airport desperately–but there was no sign of her little girl anywhere.
Where had Bella gone?
Then Wendy noticed the lollipop on the floor. She snatched it up quickly. It was Bella’s.
She had a sick feeling in her stomach–Bella had been taken!
Outside, the two men in black forced Bella into
a
waiting black van. They tried to shove her inside.
But Bella was sharp and quick. She bit on one man’s hand, hard.
“Argh!” he yelped in pain.
Seizing the chance, Bella dropped to the ground and sprinted away as fast as she could.
“That kid’s smart! Get her!”
The two men gave chase.
Bella ran, shouting at the top of her lungs, “Help! Mommy, help!”
At that moment, a luxury car pulled up. A maid stepped out, pushing Angela’s wheelchair.
Angela caught the desperate, childlike cries and looked up sharply. “‘Bella?”
Bella saw Angela too, and ran straight into her arms. “Bad guys are trying to take me! Help me!”
Angela wrapped Bella tightly in a protective embrace. She glared fiercely at the two men chasing them. “Who are you? How dare
you kidnap a little girl in broad daylight! This is illegal!”
The men’s faces twisted into grim sneers as they approached.
