Stanley took a deep breath. “Alright.”

He broke the seal on the envelope and pulled out the DNA report.

Zayn said, “The DNA results show you are indeed Miss Bella’s father. Congratulations!”

Samuel was in his apartment when the doorbell rang. He walked over and opened the door. “Who is it?”

Standing there was Stanley, tall and imposing.

Samuel paused, then smirked. “Mr. Hawk, what a surprise! What brings you here?”

Stanley met his gaze coolly. “Bella is my daughter. Why did you tell people she’s yours?”

Samuel’s expression flickered with surprise. “You found out?”

“Yes. Wendy told me.”

“She actually told you Bella’s yours?”

In truth, Samuel felt a spark of happiness. He knew that for three years, Wendy had never forgotten Stanley, which was why he had insisted on bringing Bella to the Capital.

Stanley’s voice was steady. “Yes. She told me Bella’s mine, and she told me about your relationship.”

Samuel looked at him. “She did?”
