The Heiress He Underestimated novel Chapter 87

Chapter 87 Revealing Her Identities

“I’m helping plenty. Speaking of which, you need to do some interviews. Control the story. I can schedule something with a reputable journalist. Someone who’ll let you tell your story your way.”

“I’ll think about it,” Elera said. “Right now I need to shower and try to pretend I’m a functional human being.”

“Good luck with that,” Clara said. “Call me later. And Elera? I’m proud of you. What you did last night took guts. You’re amazing.”

“Thanks, Clara. For everything.”

After she hung up, Elera sat there for a minute, processing. Then she forced herself up and into the shower. The hot water helped clear her head a little. She needed to talk to Drakonius. Like really talk to him about feelings and fears and what they were doing here.

But first, she needed to tell him the rest. Because if they were doing this honesty thing, if this was becoming real, he deserved to know everything.

She dried off, dressed in comfortable clothes, and went looking for him. She found him in the library, sitting by the fire with a book. He looked up when she entered, and the vulnerability in his eyes nearly

broke her heart.

“Hey,” she said. “We need to talk.”

“That’s never a good way to start a conversation,” he said, but he set his book aside. “What’s wrong?

“Nothing’s wrong. I just… there’s more I need to tell you. More secrets.” She sat down across from him. gathering her courage. “You know now that I’m Raven Shadowmere. That I’ve been writing bestselling novels for years under a pseudonym.”

“Yes,” he said slowly. “Though I’m still processing that information. It’s not every day you discover your wife is your favorite author.”

“That’s the one. I built it from nothing. Started it when I was twenty–one with money I made from my first book. It’s worth about three billion dollars now. I’ve got research labs in seven countries. We’re developing treatments for rare diseases, cancer therapies, regenerative medicine. The Chimera Protocol? That’s built on research my company has been doing for years.

“Actually, it’s worth closer to four billion now, but who’s counting.” Elera said. “And that’s not all. You remember the dresses I wore? The emerald one from the patron dinner and the blue one last night?”

“They are by Celestine,” Elera confirmed. “Because I am Celestine. I own the fashion house. I started it five years ago under another pseudonym. We do about half a billion in revenue annually. High–end, sustainable fashion. Those dresses? I designed them myself.”

Drakonius was staring at her like she’d grown a second head. “You’re a surgeon, a bestselling author, and a fashion designer?”

And a hacker,” Elera added, figuring she might as well go all in. “Remember how I found Xan’s emails? How I knew what he was planning? I taught myself to code when I was fifteen. I’m very good at getting into places I’m not supposed to be. Digitally speaking.”

There was a long, heavy silence. Drakonius just sat there, processing. Elera watched his face, trying to gauge his reaction. Was he angry? Impressed? Completely freaked out?

‘Let me get this straight,” he finally said. “You’re telling me that you, Elera Nethys, are secretly Dr. Mystral, he world’s most sought–after surgeon. Raven Shadowmere, international bestselling author. The CEO of Nethys Medical Empire, one of the most innovative research companies in the world. The founder and designer of Celestine fashion house. And then a talented hacker.”
