The host laughed. “So it sounds like he’s been playing the long game, keeping you close until you were old enough. It seems Sebastian’s eye for talent is just as sharp as his business sense. But tell me, when did you actually fall for him?”
Lilian’s eyes shimmered with a captivating light. “Probably the moment we met. I was too young to realize it then, but knowing myself, I never would’ve let him into my life so easily if I hadn’t already been won over.”
She had actually spent a long time thinking about that, wondering exactly when her feelings shifted. In the end, it always came back to the start. If he hadn’t made an impression then, she never would have let him get close enough to matter.
“Speaking of your personality,” the host continued, “a lot of people who saw that Skyreach Group press conference thought you were pretty aggressive. You didn’t hesitate to go after the Chairman of Soren Group. Has Sebastian ever had a problem with that side of you?”
Lilian broke into a graceful smile. “You’d have to ask him, because he’s the one who made me this way. He told me he wanted to spoil me so much that I’d be completely impossible for anyone else to deal with. He wanted to make sure he was the only man on earth who could handle me. So, if I’m difficult, it’s entirely his fault.”
The Host couldn’t help but laugh. “I had no idea he was that calculating. Alright, one last question. If you could say one thing to Sebastian right now, what would it be?”
Lilian went quiet for a moment, her gaze turning steady and resolute. “It started with you, and it’s going to end with you.”
Standing at the window on the other side of the screen, Sebastian looked at her radiant eyes and whispered, “In this life and every other, it’s only you.”
The sudden confession swept across Kingston like a tidal wave, leaving everyone to witness a relationship where both sides were perfectly matched.
Inside the boardroom, the executives stared at the man by the window. They couldn’t see his face, but the sheer tenderness coming off him was something they had never seen before.
Outside, the Empire Group staff were all crowded around the windows, staring at the giant screen across the street.
“Lilian is so lucky. The boss basically hand–raised her and kept her protected all those years. It’s like a movie.”
“It’s the ultimate long game. He clearly knew what he was doing. He saw her potential before anyone else did.”
‘He’s the definition of a possessive CEO. I can’t believe he actually told her he wanted to make her impossible for other men to handle. That is so dark and smooth.”
